Liz is everything you want in a landscape designer - creative, budget-conscious, and reliable. From the beginning she listened carefully to what I was looking for and designed a custom multi-use space to replace my browned and unused backyard. She gave me budget options so I could make choices and her renders were beautiful and detailed. Liz was instrumental in helping to manage the contractors and I really appreciated her responsiveness. It was a pleasure to work with Liz Duer of Red Berm Landscaping. She requested a planter that could be locked down and unlocked with ease, have little maintenance issues, look attractive and have a cavity that provided deep soil depth for healthy plant growth. We designed and produced it, she picked it up with her Mini Cooper. She and her client were very happy with the results. Love to work with Liz again, she is very easy and straight forward, and she is a very good communicator.

Red Berm has designed our landscape projects for years and always provides a quick turn around and efficient design. Liz design a gorgeous drought tolerant landscape design for our small backyard including some fabulous pavers. Every day we look outsisde and exclaim how beautiful it really is. We are so happy we had a designer like Liz create this oasis rather than simply have our gardener throw a few plants here and there after removing our grass. She went above and beyond!

After interviewing 3 different landscape designers, we chose Liz Duer at Red Berm Design, for the re-design of our front and backyard. Our project was quite extensive and included the removal of over 5,000 square feet of grass & plants in the front and backyard, removal of a concrete patio and installation of a new flagstone patio on a very limited budget. With the exception of Liz, all designs were so suburban and commonplace. Liz was wonderful to work with - she asked us about our taste, lifestyle, tolerance for plant maintenance and also was directive regarding what she felt would be the best decisions. Liz was skilled at formulating concepts based on our preferences, drew up a plan that incorporated softscapes and hardscapes with the results being stunning! Liz transformed our largely unused, grassy backyard into a water-wise wonderland with distinct areas for socializing, dinning, and spaces for the kids to play. We use our back yard so much more now that we've had Liz design the space. We worried that removing the lawn in our yard would make the yard look harsh and less inviting, but in reality our new dining area, winding hardscape paths, interesting plantings, just beckon you to come outside and explore. Like any project there were a few bumps along the way, but Liz offered several interesting, and creative, proposals for my consideration, while still emphasizing the practical aspects, such as plant maintenance (high vs. low), water conservation, and weather conditions. Liz was always available to us to answer any questions. Any concerns we had during the process Liz and the team at Compass Landscaping resolved right away. We love the space that Liz created. I cannot say enough about the work-artistry she does, her plant knowledge and her ability to work within a tight budget. To top it off she is very lovely to deal with and is reliable. We have no hesitation recommending her.

Liz was extremely professional working with me on a project for a property I manage. She was quick and efficient, but most importantly easy to communicate with. I asked her to design a fence surrounding the pool at this property and her design was beautifully done. Liz does great work and I would recommend her services to anyone!

Liz responded to my landscaping inquiries and I liked her the best out of the few designers/landscapers that I interviewed because she was easy to get along, honest, informational, and reasonable. Liz did an amazing job on my front yard. Since I live in LA and we are in the midst of a huge drought, drought tolerant was super important and she delivered. Liz was very good at listening to my concept and turning it into reality. She was also incredibly helpful managing costs and letting me know where I could save a bit and where I should consider splurging. The end result is one that makes me happy every day. I've actually gotten to know some neighbors because they stop and tell me how much they enjoy my yard too! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
