Since 1983, Rock City Gardens has been owned and operated by Tom and Rhonda Lowe. Their natural talent for creating and maintaining seven acres of beautiful subtropical gardens is evidence of their passion for the retail nursery business. The landscaping, container gardens, and hardscape designs their talented team of horticulture experts have created, installed and maintained for so many local clients over the years are exquisite. Absolutely love Rock City Gardens! The grounds are always gorgeous! Their selection is always better than any of the other area nurseries. They are always available to assist with questions. I highly recommend you check them out for yourself. I assure you, you will be glad you did!

The Rock City Garden team members created magic like a well oiled machine. Every step of the garden development provided expertise, caring employees. Starting from the the initial evaluation to the administrator, the brick installers, the designer, the planters and the attentive follow-up care. I apologize for not remembering everyone name. My back yard garden is now a beautiful soul soothing private sanctuary. An extra outside living space brings daily joy as I soak in the expansive water view filled with fleeting mallards, Moorhens, whistle ducks, sand hill cranes, ibises, boat tail crackles and many other unexpected visitors in flight.. A winding brick path leads to an Athena statue, the Olympian goddess of wisdom, surrounded by palm trees and boundless blooming flowers blowing in the breeze. A special thank you to all the team members. Please consider Rock City Garden in your future outside beautification. Rock City Garden rocks!

When I walked into the store at Rock City Gardens ... I felt like I had arrived in a garden oasis. The staff were friendly and inviting and the displays were beautiful and eye catching. And then when you enter the garden areas ... this is now one of my new "happy places!"

We could not be happier with the garden created by the Rock City team. Mike Gilstrap, Lead Landscape Designer, is a creative genius!! We dreamed of a garden with year round color that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds, with a feeling of tranquility and serenity. Mike's design created that and more. From the beginning of the project through completion, Mike kept us informed of the process and the project's status. His ongoing onsite presence provided guidance to the rest of the team. He possesses a wealth of knowledge which he willingly shares; his professionalism is above reproach. The landscaping team was incredible. Juan, Eduardo, Tony and the others were efficient, thorough, skillful and respectful. They transformed our backyard from a blank canvas into a beautiful work of art. When they were finished there wasn't a thing out of place anywhere in our yard; not a scrap of plastic from the bags of products used, not a stray piece of mulch on the walkway they created, not a grain of soil on the pavement. To say we are pleased is an understatement! We shared pictures of our garden with friends and family; one of my brothers actually thought they were pictures of a botanical garden. Who could ask for more?! Thank you, Rock City Team for making our dream come true!!!

There are no words to describe Rock City Gardens. Every single plant I have ever bought at Rock City not only grows beautifully, it thrives. I have geraniums from their nursery... They are the most gorgeous geraniums I have ever seen!!! They bloom and bloom and bloom!!!! My zizi plant, bought in 2005, is thriving and gorgeous... my neighbors ask me what the secret is... I tell them: I buy my plants and flowers at Rock City Gardens! But the healthy plants don't come close to describing the gardens... It is by far my most favorite place to go to meditate and relax... It's the place to go to be quiet and to marvel at the waterfalls and ponds and birds and lovely landscape and flowers... Rock City is magical. The service is incredible.. each sales person takes time with me and answers all the questions I have. They load my car so that everything arrives at my house without a hitch. Magical. Serene. Glorious. These words describe Rock City Gardens. Oh and they give fabulous classes and are available for parties and weddings!!! Thank you, Rock City Gardens!!!

Rock City is my favorite place to spend a Saturday! I love to wander around and browse the plants and get ideas for my home landscape and planters. The staff is very helpful and extremely knowledgable! Then I go home and work outside with my new plants and feel a sense of pride at what I have done. The plants are very high quality and thrive quite well at my home. I highly recommend Rock City Gardens!

We live in Hunter's Creek (Orlando), but have been making the trip to Rock City Gardens for years. Its like stepping into heaven! Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice. We always come away with treasures and awesome gardening ideas! If I can get my husband to move there...I'll be coming in for a job!!!

We frequently drive from Jensen Beach to Rock City Gardens and thoroughly enjoy everything about it. Attended a seminar regarding Butterfly Gardens and was stoked to find out what I was doing wrong - no host plants. Can't remember the young man's name but he was very educated and had a great presentation. The grounds are beautiful and we can tell great pride is taken in doing so. Rock City has always been our favorite plant nursery, but they have spent the last few months undergoing a huge renovation, and what a gorgeous one it is. I guess the only way to describe it is that we now consider the garden center a "destination". The gift shop has even more beautiful items...hard to believe they could improve the old one. But the main reason we buy all our landscaping needs there is the quality of their product. Plants purchased from 'box stores' often do not last long... RC's seldom fail. Plus they have varieties that we will never see elsewhere. Our community landscaper told us last week that we have the best rear garden in the community....thank you Rock City !

It is a joy to visit the beautifully landscaped gardens and shop at Rock City. We have been coming here for many years and our garden is filled with their flowers and plants. They also have one of the best selections of garden pots and quality garden ornaments. Our purchases have helped define and add interest to our lake-side garden and home.

This review is for the garden boutique. I've always enjoy wandering through the shop. There is a nice selection of home decor and other items. My favorite time to come in is around Christmas for the Mark Roberts fairies. Please don't stop carrying them! Last year bought several ornaments - it's always a special time during the holidays and love the displays you have. Haven't been in since the reformat of the shop. I enjoy walking the gardens and getting inspiration. Recently met with Wade but we haven't reconnected yet on finalizing the plans & schedule. Obviously he is very knowledgeable and Rock City is lucky to have him on board. I look forward to working with him.

After meeting a few times in May with their professional landscape designer, it was clear to me how professional and competent their staff was. I'm a gardener in a zone 3, which is a challenge in itself. My knowledge of florida plants is limited and they were very helpful in every aspect of my landscape renovation project. From my water feature and plant selection to the irrigation of the project. The project will commence in October, when I return from my summer home in the Adirondacks. I am very confident the results will be pleasing.
