Sage's Way

I really enjoyed working with Chase, who runs Sage's Way, as he designed my home's landscaping and put together a landscape plan. Before I contacted Chase I had very little landscaping experience and was unsure of what I wanted for my home's landscaping. Chase was a huge help-- he told me about common landscaping elements I would want to incorporate, walked me through different options, showed me pictures of his previous projects to help me visualize different elements, and was extremely knowledgable about different trees, plants, and landscaping techniques. I have a somewhat oddly shaped lot, and his suggestions maximized the usage of the space. He looked out our windows to get a feel for the sight-lines and ideal placement of trees and hedges. And he sent drafts at various stages to get feedback before moving to the next stage. It was enjoyable to be closely involved in this iterative process. I was very pleased with how the design turned out. Chase was responsive, easy to work with, and very professional. I thought his fee structure was fair and competitive with other quotes I received. When he finished he sent both digital and print versions of the plans. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this turned out and would recommend Sage's Way to anybody else looking for landscape design.

We bought a house with a steeply sloping back yard, just a lawn that was dangerous to mow and soil that was mostly clay. Chase cleverly refigured the slope so that it is now accessible gardening space, had the lawn removed by hand , installed retaining walls and vegetable beds and planted waterwise pollinator attracting .plants. He also installed a drip system, and mulched the slope. By the end of summer I had a garden buzzing with bees, much better soil and lots of flowers. It is looking even better this spring as the plants grow in. Chase was very reliable, knowledgable, turned up when he said he would, finished the job as quickly as possible (weather permitting). He and his team were a pleasure to work with. The garden is coming on very nicely and I have a happy place to garden instead of barren inaccessible lawn. I also get to enjoy birds, butterflies and bees.

Sage's Way does an excellent job. Chase and his crew completely tore out the grass in front of our house on a pretty steep slope, brought in wonderful red boulders, and then planted an array of water-wise native plants. All this was done to a design Chase worked out with us before work began. He also went through the work of getting city approval to plant a tree since we're in a historic district. In addition to the great work overall, Chase has shown dedication to the consistent care of the lawn. He has frequently come by to check on us, tweak some watering frequencies, talk to me about garden maintenance, and answer whatever other questions may pop up. I'd highly recommend Sage's Way to anybody considering an outdoor upgrade

Chase did a great job helping us to design our double lot in Sugarhouse. We removed 80% of our grass and transformed our space into a water-smart, desert oasis and we love it. Chase and his team are hard workers and they follow up every season to make sure we are taken care of. We don't feel like we have been forgotten, and have recommended Sage's Way to many of our friends.
