Sanctuary Native Landscapes

We are very pleased with landscaping design and installation from Sanctuary Native Landscapes. Sean was easy to work with, very communicative, and helped us create a design that is sustainable and also works within the expectations of our neighborhood. I learned a lot about the plants he used in our design, and I'm excited to see the new birds and pollinators that will be visiting my yard this spring! We get lots of compliments from neighbors. Would highly recommend!

Sean has an amazing knowledge and background in restoration landscaping. We have used his company to develop a master plan, plant native trees and shrubs and advise us on how to continue the process of making our land a haven for pollinators and wildlife. He is very professional and is a great communicator. He sent us renderings of his plan for everything and we had conference calls and in person walkthroughs to make sure all our questions were answered. Since we weren't always able to be there when he did the work, he sent us photos of before and after showing what was done. We already have plans to keep him busy this coming year! I would not hesitate to recommend Sanctuary Natives.

Sanctuary Native Landscapes is just incredible. Sean Nolan - who is Sanctuary - is the best. We had a vision of what we wanted our entire property to look like. Basically we wanted English Style Garden-feel, but done in all natives and from initial planning to installation Sean's vision and attention to detail was spot on and he designed exactly what we were looking for. He broke the project down into manageable sections, and let us decide the pace and order of the project, and got to work. We have finished part 1 of 5 and it is so incredibly beautiful. Sean's knowledge and selection of natives that work in NE Indiana is excellent, and his commitment to creating native urban habitats is infectious. We talked for hours on the benefits of ecologically beneficial type of landscaping. I would be remiss if I did not mention his team - they are mostly young and energetic landscaping professionals who worked tirelessly to get the site prepped (all the non natives cleared out - including an incredible amount of English Ivy) and get the plantings in. They were respectful and kept everything tidied up at the end of the day. I also would like to say that I loved the fact that Sean was on site doing a lot of the heavy lifting in addition to managing the project. We look forward to working with Sanctuary and Sean for the next couple years making our vision become reality, and making our little part of the world a place where nature can thrive. I've been extremely pleased working with Sean at Sanctuary Native Landscapes. He is very knowledgeable and I've learned a lot about what plants make sense in terms of water needs, insect support and bird attraction. He keeps the big picture in mind when he plans a landscape and the end result is a design that looks beautiful without all the maintenance that oftentimes goes with traditional landscaping. He has an artistic eye and is meticulous about his work--a very conscientious person who holds himself to high standards. He's approachable, on-time and returns phonecalls/emails promptly.
