It was such a pleasure working with Josh. He completely redesigned our backyard, and made the space so much more useable. Friends and family who have seen it have just raved about how beautiful it is. In addition, he was a pleasure to work with, so professional, and overall, had terrific follow through! I have already recommended him to a couple of people, and will continue to do so without hesitation.

My husband and I hired Segal Shuart Landscape company this last fall to redo our large front yard with a complete drought tolerant makeover. We started with beautiful detailed scaled plans including colored pictures of all plants that would be used. Josh Segal listened to all of our needs, wishes and budget restrictions, making plans that were perfect for what we wanted. Julia helped us design and project manage our front yard and back yard landscaping for our home in Santa Monica, CA. Julia is super talented.. she listened to my wife and I, and she provided ideas and suggestions that reflected our taste and wants. Julie was so helpful sourcing ideas and drawings to help us visualize our project. Once we finished our plan - Julia bid the project out to multiple contractors - and she helped us select the right partner for us. She has great connections to contractors, wood workers, stone companies, etc. etc. We had a great experience, Julia was so helpful - and we are thrilled with the finished project that she delivered.

We've worked with Julia on several projects, providing hardware. She is extremely detail-oriented and thinks the project through from one end to the other, which is such a great quality. Much preferable to having boxes of hardware on install day and it's not going to fit. I highly recommend Segal Shuart.

It was such a pleasure to work with Josh for our backyard landscape remodel. Our yard was a large, overgrown and oddly laid out space that was not child friendly for our two toddlers. We desperately needed some expert advice on how best to use the space to entertain and have plenty of room for the kids to run around. We were also looking to work with someone who really had a passion for drought tolerant and California native plants. Josh came up with a fabulous design that incorporated everything we were looking for. Josh also was very helpful in finding the right contractor once we were ready for construction. He shopped it around with several contractors that he knew and trusted to be sure we would be within our budget. Josh was always very responsive to both the contractor and ourselves anytime we had questions on the design plan throughout the construction as well. We now we have a beautiful and inviting backyard. Segal Shuart went above and beyond to help develop the best laid plan for our back yard that was particularly small and relatively unusable. Now we have a space that's not only fabulously attractive but completely usable for toddler and evening outings! The construction staff they chose was extremely polite and thorough, as well. I highly recommend them and their work!

Julia was phenomenal when helping us with the landscaping of our home in Calabasas, originally designed by Frank O. Gehry. She was fantastic. Her design aesthetic is right on point. My husband and I are super critical when it comes to all things design-related. We did not have to give Julia very much direction at all, and she hit it ‘on the head’ with what we were hoping for. We loved everything she chose and did for us. She was also thorough enough to look into the climate in our area to choose plant life suitable for our land and to ensure survival of the plants (taking into account weather, animal life, etc). She was extremely timely and proactive throughout the entire process, and also came up with great alternatives when striving to stick within our budget. But she also held true to her understanding of the importance of sourcing, etc, so we never had to compromise quality or style. We highly highly recommend her and her team from both a design and professional prospective. This gal has both the 'eye' and the background.
