Andrea designed our small backyard, and the entire process, from our first meeting through design and construction, was tremendous. Her designs were beautiful and thoughtful, taking into consideration not only our desire to maximize the space and use mostly native plants, but also our lifestyle. Iterating on the design was simple and smooth on our end, and she didn’t just hand over the plans and walk away. She worked with our contractor (whom she recommended) throughout the entire process, to ensure everything met her and our vision. I can’t recommend Andrea highly enough. In fact, we’ve already passed her info on to friends, with our glowing praise.

We needed our front yard landscaped very quickly for an upcoming event and found Andrea Becker through houzz. She responded immediately and was able to help us on very short notice, even with existing projects she was working on. Andrea was extremely professional, providing a quote and Letter of Agreement outlining the scope of services within a day or two of our initial contact. We knew we chose the right landscape designer when we saw her detailed drawing of what plants would be used and where they would be placed. She was extremely flexible, accepting our input and incorporating our ideas. What really impressed us, was that she put our plant list out to bid to receive the best prices and then went and hand-picked out the plants so we would have the best quality. She also hand-picked all of the rocks that were needed for the design. Within two days, we had a newly landscaped front yard and it was beautiful! I highly recommend Andrea and Studio AB if you're looking for a creative design and want someone who is highly knowledgeable about plants. She works well with all of the work crew and knows how to "make things happen!" She deserves 5 stars all the way!!

Andrea put together a beautiful design for my front yard. She took the time to understand my priorities and brought everything together into a cohesive, inviting space. She also coordinated with the various contractors to make modifications to the design, an inevitable part of any home project. I'd absolutely hire her again.

Andrea was recommended by a friend. I had a daughter getting married this summer and wanted my yard to look great. She recommended a contractor to do the back patio which involved redoing a retaining wall, building a fence and even carving humming birds in a gate. Andrea did all the planting and pots using annuals, perennials and wonderful fast growing accent color. She had a good eye, creative ideas, and listened to me as well. By the wedding my yard had a WOW factor of 10.. If you want a wonderful job done and have fun in the process, Andrea is your gal.

I asked Andrea to assess my front and back yard. It's in a pretty natural state and at the time had a wooden porch in the backyard that I was not crazy about. My house was built in 1950 and, although small, pretty much a mid-century modern design. She came up with a design plan that fit my taste, budget, and property to a T. This is phaze one! Next summer, I'd like to begin the actual implementation of the design, including PacNW friendly plantings, incorporation of cement walk ways (ala mid-century flavor), a shade garden, better utilizing the dogwood and evergreens already in the yard, and a "gnome garden" (per my nordic heritage request). Though the entire process Andrea listened carefully, incorporated my desires, gave her expert advice, steered me in the right direction, and made it a fun project. I thank her for every part of my initial design and consultation. I'll definitely work with her as I continue on my landscape endeavors. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND her to anyone looking for a designer with an eye for the modern, appreciation of the past, and true knowledge of the flora world.

We were recommended by Andrea to provide an estimate for a design that she created for a residence in the Seattle area. Unfortunately, the job went to another landscape installation company. However, during the process of working on the estimate, we were able to develop what we hope will be a long-term collaborative relationship with Andrea. Andrea is super-talented, creative, very savvy with planting design, and works well with the landscape contractor. We would highly recommend Andrea for any future residential landscape design project.

Andrea is super talented, but what I thought was great about her was that she listened to both my husband and I when it came to talking about what we each wanted in our backyard. She came, looked at the site, looked in our home to get a feel of how we lived and get an idea of what we liked. She created a few different plans, a his plan, her plan, and the ideal plan. Shen nailed it. We have worked with designers, architects, carpenters, you name it, we've worked with them. We have been remodeling our victorian home for the past 12 years. Andrea was one of the easiest people to work with and she has really great ideas.

Andrea helped us with a partial landscape design for our front yard. She is creative, easy to work with, and really knows her plants. She made suggestions that will have a big impact on the overall presentation without re-designing the entire area. In addition, her drawings helped us visualize the upcoming completed design. We hired Andrea to create a complete landscape design for our new home on Camano Island. Locarted on a sensitive beach site, the home was designed as a near-net-zero project and posed a number of design challenges. Andrea listened closely to our ideas and concerns, asked great questions and *listened* to our answers. She walked the site a number of times, and took not only professional interest in doing a good job, but clearly had a great deal of personal pride in going above and beyond to provide us with outstanding service. The design we selected (she turned out several in the course of the engagement) turned out beautifully, her production was solidly on time, and during the process, we recognized that she possessed significant expertise in the many areas of landscape design, from plant specifications (and a deep love for plants) to smart hardscape planning - she delivered a complete package. Her services came at quite reasonable price, based on estimates we'd received from other landscape designers. Andrea is fantastic! I wanted to play GC for a major landscaping project without really knowing what I was getting myself into. I hired Andrea to help design the space and work with my laborers to ensure proper drainage, etc. In addition to providing these services, Andrea has been great about helping me through the overall process, finding resources for specialty services and supplies we needed, and teaching me how to care for my new space. Working within a small constrained space, Andrea helped me to make plant choices which match my aesthetic preferences while balancing practical concerns such as level of required care and water consumption. Overall, Andrea can provide a full-service design services or step in as needed to complement a project with supporting components. She is flexible, easy to work with, and has a great eye.
