Sublime Garden Design provided a wonderful landscape and hardscape design at Skydive Snohomish that has added immensely to the comfortable feel and ambiance here! Their oversight and coordination with the JP Landscape during construction was excellent and made the disruption of the construction phase as painless as possible. Their professionalism and personal service meshed well with our culture, and we are very pleased with the outcome, and have had many of our staff and customers alike comment on the final product. We would highly recommend them for landscape design services.

We chose Sublime Garden Design to redo the landscaping for our new 1 acre property. Of the several companies we interviewed they were clearly the best with great ideas and professionalism. They continued as they started with several well-presented designs that they modified for us until we had a solid plan. They supervised the installation and were always available for questions or concerns. We were very pleased that they incorporated plants both from the new property and our previous home. When issues arose (as they inevitably do) they were very responsive and made sure they were addressed to our satisfaction. Our new landscape is just what we wanted with interesting features that change through the year and will continue to fit our space as they grow. We would absolutely use them again for future projects.

Our experience working with Heidi and Sublime Garden Design has been wonderful from design to installation. We have worked with Sublime Garden Design on 3 projects spanning several years, and each time Heidi and her team bring expertise, creativity and professionalism to the project. I loved the design process and we're thrilled with the outcome. It was fun to think of all the possibilities, and then figure out what we should do. The implementation process was also great. We've done a lot of work ourselves, but this project was much bigger, and it was a relief to have Sublime oversee and help guide the process along. I love plants, so I was glad we could reuse some existing ones. This time around I wanted less maintenance and I think we achieved that, while still having it look fantastic. Heidi planted a few things I've never had before - looking forward to seeing how they fill in. Our old yard was very overgrown, and the difference is remarkable. Looks like a completely different space, but very much our style.

Heidi did a total landscape plan for our new construction home in 2007. She had been recommended by an acquaintance and had just recently started her business Sublime Garden Design. We were enormously impressed with her design as well as her expertise in plant selection. She took into consideration our very small yard and chose plants, trees and shrubs that would work well in a small space. We certainly did not want trees or shrubs that would eventually dwarf the house! Fast forward to now, seven years later, and everything has matured well and remained well contained in our garden. Heidi continues to come out once or twice a year to replant/spruce up the 5 large pots we have throughout the yard and is always available for advice or to answer any questions we might have.

We enlisted Sublime to redesign our front yard as well as manage the construction. From our first meeting we were impressed with Heidi and Kryssie, mostly because they listened to us. Based on the insight they gained, we were provided with three distinct deisgns, each of which met our expectations. Working with them we were able to combine elements of two of the designs into a unique approach. Sublime then diligently sought out subconractors for the construction phase and brought us the various proposals for final approval. During construction, Sublime was on-site daily and provided us regular updates on progress. The result was a yard that won the Mill Creek Garden of the Year Award and continues to be the envy of neighborhood. We could not be happier so if you are considering a major or minor garden project you need to hire Sublime Garden Desgin. You will be impressed. We certainly were.

We have been using Sublime Design for almost three years. We knew what we liked, but needed someone to put those ideas together into a cohesive plan. We needed someone who listened and could make those thoughts and ideas come together on on paper. Sublime did just that. They are thoughtful, conscientious and extremely knowledgeable. They provided us a plan that works and looks amazing. We made a plan with Sublime Design that could be completed over time. I would recommend Heidi and her company without reservations. Whether you do all or some of the work yourself, you need a landscape design plan. Sublime Design is the company that made our landscape dream come true.

Research regarding the various landscape architects/designers showed so many creating very traditional or overdone designs. We were looking for a contemporary, naturalistic landscape that was drought-tolerant and easily maintained; and that would serve to enhance our beautiful salt water views and preserve the natural bluff setbacks. When we met with Sublime the first time, we knew that they completely "got it". I think the best part about working with Sublime was the creativity and flexibility they presented. I could express likes and dislikes easily, and was thrilled with the bits of whimsy and artistry they brought to the table. I really wanted a landscape that was "simple yet stunning"; however, we had some unique things with which to work: an existing curtain drain running the entire length of the property that we wanted to look natural, wildlife such as deer, the marine climate and winds, large property (6.5+ acres, landscaping one acre). Sublime took these obstacles and turned them into positives. Everywhere you walk, you see something that catches the eye: beautiful and unique plants, funky culvert planters and chartreuse tripod trellises, amazing stone steps, contemporary-shaped patio with pavers that match our existing stamped concrete back porch, a rugged yet sleek custom Cor-ten steel planter with "rusted" metal art panel, a meandering dry creek bed that looks as though it has been there for years...I could go on and on. But without seeing it, you miss out on all the subtleties that really make it work together, e.g., patio pavers that were cut around existing rocks so that the rocks can be used for seating or leaning. Amazing! Simple yet stunning? We got it! Plant selection by Sublime was perfect! I am a big fan of texture and form in the garden, and I love unique pieces...my husband, on the other hand, wanted "trees". And we both really wanted the landscape to have a contemporary look that addressed the location, with low upkeep: drought-tolerant, low maintenance, native plants. Sublime did a wonderful job of listening to us. They ran everything by us, including when a particular plant might need to be changed, and sought our input. We have not seen the landscape throughout the four seasons, but the two we have observed are spectacular! Sublime got bids for us from several highly qualified contractors; and we made the final decision on who we would use. The contractor we chose was terrific and as particular as we were! He said, on many occasions, that he really appreciated the level of detail supplied by Sublime; and he followed their plans specifically. Sublime supervised the installation of the landscape as well. At first, we were not sure we needed to have someone else do this, but as the project progressed, we really appreciated the fact that Sublime was there: handling the details, taking pictures, getting information to bring back to us, researching changes, etc. We believe that we got outstanding service and design, along with a wealth of knowledge and resources, when we contracted with Sublime. And as much as I like to garden, I know that, by myself, I could never have envisioned a landscape even remotely as lovely in design or substance. I can honestly say that I would recommended Sublime for any project, large or small. It doesn't get any better!

Our home was new construction so the yard was non-existent. Heidi planned the landscape completely, taking into account my likes and dislikes, the slope of the land, the uses we had in mind for different areas and did a plan that allowed us to do the work in stages as money and time allowed. She has been available for ongoing consultations and continues to help with the planning as our landscape changes with the growth of plantings and our changing needs. I would highly recommend talking to Heidi – she is very knowledgeable and willing to listen, which is a huge asset. Our yard is beautiful and we are enjoying it through all seasons thanks to Sublime Garden Design and Heidi.

My backyard absolutely sucked. It looked like a white trash mobile home park that would have embarrassed Earl on My Name is Earl. Enter Heidi Skievaski and Sublime Garden. I gave her minimal input (because I can't visualize things) but told her I wanted a place that my 4 teenagers would want to hang out in, that my wife and I could entertain in, and would require low maintenance. She put together a design that included a wood fire pit for the kids, a gas fire pit and outdoor kitchen for the adults, and a hot tub for all of us. It is just a natural work of art that flows and has separate areas so different groups can use it simultaneously. I know it sounds expensive, and it did cost more than a slip and slide, but she worked with us to use the dirt from one area to fill in another, to select materials that were perfect but cost effective, and to negotiate with the contractor to get an honest price. All I can say is I wish I did this years ago. The kids insist on bringing their friends over all the time and we grill several times a week, rain or shine, because of the covered kitchen area. It is amazing how you can have such an oasis in the middle of a neighborhood that once looked like a vacant lot. Heidi is a master at picking the right plants for both beauty and timing. Everything blooms in sequence which elongates the seasons. Over these last two years I can already see the yard is maturing over time as the plants grow and fill in. It is better now than when she installed it. The maintenance is simple and easy. If only Heidi would organize my life as well as my yard. You owe it to yourself to see what she can do.
