About Us

The Design Element reveres the art of practicing landscape architecture. Beginning as design partners at Arizona State University, the studio mates evolved into a partnership that has collaborated on many project types including business environments, urban infill and higher education for more than two decades. Partners Marc Beyer and Jeff Anderson chose their profession because they have a passion for design and a desire to make a difference. The strong communication skills and the ability to contribute their strengths to a project team were developed from training at local multi-disciplinary design firms. Today, The Design Element focuses its efforts on building strong professional relationships with clients and design professionals. As stewards of the environment and the project process, the studio provides partner-level quality of service in all aspects of its work. As an Arizona-based firm with 95% of the work generated from repeat business, The Design Element is extremely grateful for its clients and looks forward to spending time with them to create sustainable, livable, functional and memorable projects.
