The Outdoor Design

***Warning, long review*** The Outdoor Design installed a Timbertech Deck and wooden Pergola in our backyard in the fall of 2020. Before going into the current situation, allow me to preface this review by saying the deck looked great; however, the customer service was initially wonderful but was severely lacking by the end. Initially, David was very attentive and thoughtful. As the process went along, he became more aloof...e.g...not returning calls, not following up on certain things that were discussed. It became so taxing that we were actually glad when they were done due to the change. There were also false promises of gift cards for our neighbors (for putting up with noise and construction) that never came to fruition. Now, back to the matter at hand. After the posts on the pergola completely dried, 2 of the posts had a slight bow in them which was more cosmetic than structural. I reached out to David and his team in August 2021 to see if anything could be done to help mitigate the bowed posts. I was contacted by Amy who advised that, since this was their busiest time of the year, she would have someone out to look at it in the next couple of weeks. Several weeks came and went and finally, after continued texts, emails and calls from me, they came out on Friday October 1. After their visit I received an email from Amy on Monday October 11 with a "plan" of how to rectify this situation. They advised that they would "wrap" the posts with a material that would protect the posts from the elements and would minimize the unsightly bow in the wood. On October 25, I received an email from Amy, again after several calls, emails and texts from me, advising that they would be out to my home on either November 4 or 5 to install the wrap. Needless to say, both November 4 and 5 have come and gone and I have not heard from them. I have called, emailed and sent texts with no response. In my personal and professional opinion, I would stay away from using this company. I realize that their coming out and offering to help rectify the situation was a courtesy but the fact that they did not follow up on said courtesy and outright refuse to respond to any of my attempts to contact them is not only disheartening but deceitful. While they may have great reviews on here, my experience with them, especially as of late, does not even warrant 1 star but I have to give a rating in order for this review to post. We have been very patient and forgiving but we will be moving forward with our attorney.

The owner was very knowledgeable and the finished project was extremely nice. I enjoyed working with the company and would recommend them.

I recently hired The Outdoor Design company to construct a stone wall in my front yard. The owner and his crew did a beautiful stone wall that exceeded my expectations! They were talented, creative, and professionals. It was a pleasure to have David and his crew provide my yard great curb appeal as well as experience their courtesy and dedication!

We had a need to replace our existing grille and this led us to replace the entire island structure. The talented folks at The Outdoor Design company assisted us with the design and built us an exceptional outdoor island to replace that existing structure. This included the removal of the old structure within our current patio with minimal change. In the end, we were extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship and the workers themselves under David Garcia's guidance.

I contacted David about an outdoor kitchen/patio that I was considering building. I had some ideas of my own but David brought me computer drawings of what his ideas were for my project. A picture certainly is worth a thousand words! This was extremely helpful for us a gave us a level of confidence in David's abilities. David took the job turn key which included removing existing sidewalk and 2 small planted areas that had irrigation. David's team expanded that area and built a stone patio with custom built area which he mounted a built in grill. David handled the irrigation, electrical and natural gas line installation. I am extremely satisfied with the finished product. We live in a time where we need to be very cautious about who we invite to our homes to work. I have found David and his crew to be be very courteous and trustworthy. David is a family man of high character/values and I highly recommend him for your project.
