About Us

Landscape Architecture & Design. Creative Purveyors of Fine Outdoor Living. High-functioning plantings with an ecological and artful twist. We do Traditional Residential, Historical & Cultural Landscapes and Unique Commercial Design-Build, Management & Maintenance. Our mission is to engage our clients in outdoor living, create value and a sense of place as well as serving investment property owners requiring turn-key outdoor spaces. Our projects range from Potage Gardens to Property Master Planning & Management whether Sea Side, Camp or in preparation for Sale. We incorporate architectural elements as an extension of the main dwelling, design and incorporate custom stone & wood work, water features and outdoor kitchens to name a few. Our planting palettes are bold and lively, offering interest and intrigue through each season.

The Outdoor Room designed a beautiful three bed memorial garden to honor my husband. Laura’s plan included scrubs that provides color all year through blossoms, berries, foliage and colored stems so that there is always something to look at no matter what month. Perennials and annuals also carry the planned color theme through the garden. Laura created an outdoor room that is a world unto itself at my home. Her knowledge, time and attention is so apparent through her work! She is delightful to work with and she completed the project on time as well as in budget! I very much recommend Laura and her conscientious team. They did an excellent job!

Outdoor Room will transform your backyard into a space that you, your family, and friends will gravitate towards. We spend much more time outside enjoying our yard! Outdoor Room knows not only what will look great, but what will thrive and require minimal maintenance. I used to waste a lot of money buying plants that would die for one reason or another. I've learned that it is better to spend money on quality that is going to last from year to year. They have done multiple projects for us over the years and we will continue to hire them. Highest recommendation to Outdoor Room!!

Laura and her team at the Outdoor Room are great to work with. I know with complete confidence that when Laura is brought in on a project our work as builders will be showcased and presented in the best possible light. Laura has a unique design ascetic that is the anti cookie cutter. Sometimes it is very easy to know who did the landscape design simply be looking at it, it is all about the designer and not the property or the owners. Laura is a chameleon and her style blends easily with and accentuates the positives of the site and structures upon it. I look forward to our next interaction and so should you.
