5 Reviews for Urban Gardens, Inc.

Our review of Urban Gardens, Inc. is 5 stars because of the quality design and work. We asked for true Xeric planting in our narrow front yard with Spanish style hardscaping to match our stucco house. The result was better than we imagined.
Work was scheduled within a certain window and any changes were communicated
in a timely manner. The contractor was efficient and communicative. Labor estimations were accurate and helpful for planning with few interruptions.
In addition, Sara Christian was very flexible in rescheduling the work when family circumstances took precedent over the initial timelines.
Urban Gardens, Inc. has a depth and breadth of design options, high on customer satisfaction.

We own a corner property . Though we had two balconies we wanted to create a patio with nice walls for flowerbeds. We also needed to change the existing drainage of rainwater. Sarah made a very detailed plan for the patio and walls including planting. Sarah was very responsive to our wishes and it was a flawless cooperation. Sarah supervised the construction, which was done very quickly and efficiently. The masonry was superb. We have been very happy with the result and get many positive remarks from friends but also people walking by. Sarah followed up on any detail and question we had. We therefore can only recommend her highly and without any reservation. Sarah is a very experienced creative urban garden architect and has a wonderful efficient crew for construction and landscaping.

Sarah worked with us in completely remodeling our front and back yards - plants and hardscape. She provided lots of great ideas and worked with us in modifying the design until we were all happy with it. We have had SO many compliments on the finished product. We would work with her again!

I have heard positive comments about Sarah's work for several years and when it came time to address the neglected landscaping and slightly dangerous front steps to our new house, Sarah was top on our list to contact. She was responsive and patient with us and offered suggestions as we figured out what we were really looking for. Once we decided on a plan, Sarah gave us a few options and adjusted our plan as we moved forward (doubling the height of the retaining wall). She was very meticulous and cost conscious with our materials and oversaw the workmanship. We would recommend Urban Gardens, Inc. and use Sarah again.

Sarah Christian is a designer wisperer. She got exactly what I was visualizing. She was present and available. Every detail was important to her. I think she enjoyed making it come to life. It made me love my house even more. The double brick retaining wall. The easy care flowers. The walk way on both sides of my house. The lighting is exquisite! She exceeded my expectations.
