Virginia Hand Design

Virginia Hand has done work for us over the years and recently completed our spectacular Zen garden. She was wonderful to work with as she is a true professional. She listens to your ideas and adds her expertise to deliver the atmosphere and garden of your dreams while being mindful of your budget. Virginia worked closely with Seattle Utilities and installed an irrigation system to ensure our water usage was reasonable. She also made recommendations on plants to minimize the water usage. Our garden is stellar and Virginia Hand Design is outstanding!

Virginia has been extremely helpful in helping us design a yard/garden that's not only functional, it is manageable and meets our budget objectives. She spent a great deal of time with us figuring out solutions to some unique hurdles we had and our overall experience was very enjoyable. We would definitely use her again.

Virginia Hand is an extremely talented and thoughtful landscape designer. She transformed our outdated, old and overgrown yard into a beautiful, fresh, updated and current masterpiece that everyone (including neighbors and passerby walkers) enjoys looking at. She has a unique ability to pair color, texture, hardscape and plant materials into a custom design that fit within our budget and visual interests. We highly recommend her and her expertise!

Virginia is creative, professional and comes up with designs that we could never imagine. Virginia designed and project managed a redo of our back garden ( yard). The inspiration was the gardens and fountains of the Alhambra is Granada Spain. That was eight years ago, the garden has matured to a lovely oasis in the city. The sound of the falling water from the fountain, crunch of the gravel path and lovely evening fragrance from the Brugsmania (in the summer) is relaxing. We continue to work with Virginia through out the seasons. So looking forward to Spring when the Elderberries start to bloom.

Virginia is wonderful to work with, very professional and a delight. She has vast experience and a beautiful portfolio of work to show for it. Not only is she a landscape designer, she has a plethora of resources that come together to execute against her designs and will manage the entire project so it is seamless and easy.

Virginia designed and supervised our back yard make over. We were so pleased with the result that we hired her the following year for our front yard and a 'green roof' on our garage, where she again did a fabulous job. She was respectful to our desires and wishes, suggesting changes where our layman's knowledge clashed with what was possible from a professionals experience. She is knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful in her approach and manner - a real pleasure to work with, and a true professional.
