Waitkus Design

We recently worked with Waitkus Design on a landscape design project for our front yard including a new bluestone walkway, retaining wall, and plantings. Karen and Jim really listened to our requests and delivered a unique and exceptionally beautiful outdoor design for our house. Throughout the design process and installation, they communicated well, paid attention to the details, and used high quality materials. Karen and Jim were a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with the outcome, which has greatly improved the curb appeal of our house, and are looking forward to working with them again in the future!

My house sits low and I was having trouble with water pooling in front of my door and along the walkway when it rained. They installed a new bluestone walkway (graded to resolve my water pooling issue), landscaping (some grading there too) and landscape lighting. It turned out beautifully. The grading is gradual and subtle, you cannot even tell. Owner and crew were happy to answer questions, including last minute changes or additions (e.g., chose a different tree and wanted to add some rocks). They were able to fold them in and make them look natural. They also are knowledgeable about what plants will thrive here (clay soil + deer) and weigh in accordingly. This has really added curb appeal to the house.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a Jim, Karen and Dana several times over the past five years. Initially, they designed and installed a beautiful patio, porch and grilling station in my backyard along with all new landscape. A few years later, they returned to remodel my front porch, walkway and landscape. Finally, last summer they installed a fireplace and patio in my backyard with new landscape. They completely changed the look of my home and my family and I couldn’t be more pleased! Jim, Karen and Dana are lovely individuals who make the process so easy. They are extremely contentious, efficient and they take pride in their work. They use the best materials and their entire staff works diligently to create beautiful spaces. In addition, if any issues arise, even a year later, Jim will help resolve the situation. I highly recommend Waitkus Design!

We recently built a new home on a large piece of property that needed, well, everything. From the first consultation to today, the Waitkus team has been wonderful. They listened to everything we wanted and delivered it perfectly. The only thing we regret is that we didn't meet them 20 years ago when we bought our first house.They are so knowledgeable, creative, helpful and meticulous.
