This company was recommended to me by our general contractor and I had a great first impression. Unfortunately as the work progressed, the excitement of a new home project was replaced with dread of having to deal with the drama of this company. For example, it became clear that my job was being worked in between other jobs and did not receive the focus I was promised and waited for. They were unfamiliar with the materials I chose and made it my problem to figure out how to cut the stone - after a week delay, I called the manufacturer of the stone to find out what blade they use to cut it. My sod had deep divers and bare spots. The sprinkler heads did not fully cover the grass and they made me feel like a pain when I had to point it out to them, though it was clear the sod was dying. The customer service, expertise and professionalism I paid a premium for was not evident. There ended up being drama between the trades that impacted the quality of work AMJ provided to my project. At the end they pestered me for the final 5% payment and promised to come back and fix the pool coping they patched with the wrong grout color. I acquiesced and, you guessed it, I haven’t seen/heard from them since! As a result, I cannot recommend this company.

We needed landscaping ideas that would enhance our front yard. My husband and I got a great impression of AMJ Landscaping just by meeting John Gallagher, one of the owners. John arrived at our home, on time, and we found him professional, amiable and very knowledgible. John came up with ideas that no other contractor had even considered. He sent us some drawings and proposals from which to choose. And he stayed involved throughout our project in person, by phone and emails. John always called us back and went the extra mile. The crew that did the work were outstanding, hard-working, and very courteous--amazing guys. At the end of each day the they always left the site clean and tidy. The work was finished in 3 days! Our yard is now beautiful thanks to AMJ and we would absolutely recommend these experienced professionals. We consider them friends. Jane and Bob Harris

AMJ Landscaping was referred to me by another company. I sent an email to the company and within a day, I had a response and was able to schedule a consultation appt. John Gallagher arrived at my home on the appointed day and time and was prompt and courteous. John was very easy going, and listened to what I had in mind for my project. After discussing what I was looking for, John said he would create a proposal/estimate and send me the names of different plants/shrubs I could use in my landscaping. we must have exchanged more than 30 emails coming up with the exact array of plants and then within a week of that, presented me with the estimate/proposal. Once I signed the agreement, my appt to have the work done was scheduled within 3 weeks. I could not be happier with how the project turned out, how courteous and responsive John was with me, and the quality of work that was done. I would recommend AMJ Landscaping to anyone.

I have been a client of AMJ Landscaping for almost seven years. For the most part, they are my lawn care providers but have done other projects including installing a sidewalk, opening and closing the sprinkler system, enlarging the back yard by clearing out trees and underbrush and moving, installing and landscaping a new storm drainage pipe. I have always found John and Aaron to be professional in my dealings with them. John always listens to what I want and then makes suggestions. On the storm drain project, he actually researched and went through my paperwork to see if I, or the county, was responsible for the upkeep on the pipe. He spoke to the agencies involved to try to resolve the issue. Anytime I hear of someone who is looking for a landscape company, I immediately recommend AMJ. You can count on them to stick with the job until it is completed to your satisfaction.

AMJ Lawn and Landscape, Inc. was a true pleasure to work with. They were patient, professional and always willing to listen and change plans at the last minute. They arrived on site many days earlier than expected and worked late into the night. Our house was very "plain jane" originally. We had AMJ put in multiple flower beds and plants, a gorgeous stone retaining wall and stone on our house. It looks like a different house! We have actually had people pull in the driveway and ask us who did such beautiful work. I can't say enough positive things about this company. They are top notch professionals that I would recommend over and over.

I attended the Timonium Home and Garden Show and was not looking for a landscaper, but came across AMJ's display and sat to relax and fell in love with what they had done. Aaron came over and was explaining how they work and we starting talking about possibilities for my yard. I came back the following day and worked with John to show him pictures of my property. within a week after the show he had 3 proposed drawings for my yard. Within 30 days my yard was transformed into my tiny little paradise in Dundalk. I absolutely love the work they did. They were professional and true to their word. Their team was fantastic and was respectful to my neighbors and cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend them for any job big or small. You will not be disappointed with the work from AMJ and will think of them every time you enjoy a relaxing evening outside looking at the finished project. Thank you John and Aaron for saving my yard and making it our new piece of heaven.
