“In selecting a landscape contractor for the relandscape of the large front planting beds of our new home we had four criteria: knowledge, creativity, communication and reliability. The BB Barns designer we worked with, Emily Gregory, was intuitive and highly skilled. Our vision was the creation of welcoming front gardens on both sides of the driveway including beds flanking the walk to the front porch. We wanted these beds to be pollinator attractors, continuously blooming and to be as deer resistant as possible. Emily really listened to us. She has a strong knowledge of native plants, as well as grasses, trees, shrubs and perennials and her beautiful design brought our vision to life. The exceptional crew at BB Barns flawlessly implemented her plan. The curb appeal of our home has been dramatically improved and we are delighted with the outcome. We highly recommend BB Barns and their exceptional professionals.”

“My husband and I needed to find someone who could clean our pond and remove a lot of mud and algae. We contacted three landscapers who work on water features. Two weren't interested, but Jacob Wickersham was. He wrote an enthusiastic email, came to see the pond, and gave us a very reasonable estimate. Within a week, he had the job done to our satisfaction. As Jacob and a crew member worked on the pond, he talked to us about how he was trying to not disturb the tadpoles and fish. We have a natural pond with a delicate ecosystem that includes various fish, frogs, clams, a few snakes, and a snapping turtle. We wanted to clean out the overgrown algae but preserve the pond life. Jacob was respectful of that and very knowledgeable about aquatic creatures and plants. When the weather is warmer he will help us choose lily pads and install them for us. He made suggestions about other types of plants that would be suitable. He even recommended installing a fish cave to protect the fish from predators, which we think is a great idea. His enthusiasm for the job, his reasonable costs, and his knowledge of ponds and aquatic life were very impressive to us. We can definitely recommend him if you are looking for a pond specialist.”
