Featured Reviews for Hardscaping Contractors in Atlanta

Nesbit Landscape
Hardscaping Contractors in Atlanta
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsAugust 6, 2026
“I highly recommend Nesbit Landscaping. I gave Eric Brumond, the owner of Nesbit Landscaping, general descriptions of four projects for my back yard. Project #1: Contour the back yard so it would have a gentle slope from the the middle of the yard to the end of the backyard and replace the sod in this area. Project #2: Install steps and a hand rail from the walk at the back of my house to the backyard. Project #3: Install a semi-circle brick wall near the back of my house to break up the steep slope at the back of the house. Project #4: Redo the steps at my back door with a smaller pitch. Based on these general descriptions, Eric provided an estimate, and I accepted. Eric and his team then completed all of these projects in a timely manner, and the detailed designs exceeded my expectations. In addition, Eric and his team were easy to work with and left the job site neat and clean.”

“Navid is great to work with because he has a good vision of how a final project is going to look from beginning to end. He is professional, and all of his staff were meticulous. My photos don't do it justice because they were taken over the winter before a lot of plants started rooting and blooming. What's great about Navid is his understanding that hardscaping the yard is much more important that simple plant installation. I highly recommend him for projects large or small.”
Wilson Bros. Landscape
Hardscaping Contractors in Atlanta
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 11, 2019
“I contacted Wilson Brothers Landscaping for help with two problems: (1) I had a bad erosion problem on the side of my house because water from the backyard would rush down the side and wash away so much soil that roots from the trees were exposed; and (2) I wanted to improve the landscaping in the front of the house to create some curb appeal while making it “senior friendly” and easier to maintain. Keith Carpenter visited my property twice to answer all of my questions and advise what could be done. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the proposal that he gave me. The erosion problem was solved by installing a drain box and 4” corrugated pipe that collects the runoff in my backyard and takes it through a dry creek bed that they installed that now connects my backyard to my front. My property front was improved by taking out all of the old, high maintenance plants and replacing them with lower maintenance and colorful new shrubs that look great with the front of my house; new sod was installed to reduce the size of the island and fill in where it had been neglected; and pine straw to finish everything off. Keith and his crew worked hard on the project for nearly a week and as I watched them picking and placing all of those heavy rocks by hand for the dry creek bed, I was grateful that Wilson Brothers had the right people on the job. We couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome and I highly recommend Wilson Bros.”

Landscaper FAQs
The duration of a hardscaping project can vary widely depending on the projectʼs complexity, size, material availability, and weather conditions. Smaller projects like a simple patio can take a few days to a week, while larger projects like a complete outdoor kitchen or extensive retaining walls can take several weeks to months. An experienced contractor will provide a realistic timeline upfront, factoring in planning, design approvals, and potential unforeseen delays.
Your hardscaping contractor is a valuable resource in selecting materials that are durable, suitable for your climate, and aesthetically pleasing, ensuring that the design complements your homeʼs exterior and landscape. They can inform you about the latest trends, such as sustainable and eco-friendly materials, or timeless designs that maintain their appeal. However, trends should be balanced with personal preference and long-term practicality.
Homeowners should clarify their budget, design preferences, and functionality needs. Researching and having inspirational images or a vision board can help communicate your ideas to the contractor effectively. Itʼs also crucial to clear the project area of personal items and, if necessary, secure permits or ensure the contractor handles permit acquisition. Discussing logistics like project access, noise, and dust management upfront can prevent misunderstandings.
Effective communication between homeowners and contractors is key to addressing challenges. Setting clear expectations, having a detailed contract, and establishing regular updates can mitigate issues. Challenges such as weather delays, unexpected ground conditions, or material shortages require flexibility and understanding from both parties. An experienced contractor will manage these challenges professionally, keeping the project on track as much as possible.
When meeting with a potential contractor, inquire about their experience with projects similar to yours, their process from design to completion, timeline and budget estimation, and how they handle unexpected challenges. Itʼs also important to ask for references, certification, insurance details, and how communication will be handled throughout the project. This ensures transparency and sets the foundation for a successful partnership.
Yes, many contractors now offer eco-friendly hardscaping options, such as permeable paving, recycled materials, and locally sourced stones, which reduce environmental impact and can improve your homeʼs sustainability. Discussing these options with your contractor can reveal opportunities to incorporate green practices into your project, from reducing runoff with permeable surfaces to selecting materials that require less energy to produce and transport.
