Stay far away from Aztlan and Jorge. He is very dishonest and if he doesn't like you he will purposely covertly sabotage your project like he did to me. We agreed on a price and material for the construction of a walkway and retaining wall. It took forever just to get him to start the work. Once the work was started he tried to skimp on the materials and on what we agreed upon despite us being super nice to his wife and kids who visited the site frequently. I was stern on insisting that he stay according to the contract and give us what was agreed upon. Finally he did but he left us a big surprise. The retaining was started to fail and we consulted a different contractor cause it was so stressful dealing with jorge. The new contractor found that Jorge did several things wrong that could have only been done on purpose and also negligence. The drain pipe was wrapped in plastic tarp and it was pitched up and not down so no water would ever get into it and even if it did the drain pipe was not connected to the pvc pipes at the wall and also out in the field. So therefore no water would ever drain out. My new contractor said no honest or competent person could ever make a mistake like that. Replacing our aging deck with a beautiful patio made from pavers and retaining walls surrounded by new landscaping made a world of difference in the appearance and enjoyment of our house. Jorge, Carmen and their crew were professional, clean, on time, on budget and were actually fun to have around as we watched his creation take shape.

Aztlan is our go-to contractor for stonework. They have done a number of projects for us, including complicated curving 4 tier set of garden steps, several garden walls, our front and kitchen steps, and a window well. We enjoy working with them. They do careful work and are more than willing to work with us to make sure the final product is exactly what we wanted. We recommend them highly.

What you want with snow plowing is responsibility and care, and Jorge and his staff fully met our expectations. We never had to wait to get plowed out, and this was a winter with lots of snow. I heartily recommend them.

Aztlan (google it!) is a thoroughly professional landscaping team that, in my experience, can do all outdoor jobs well. For stonework (stone-masonry) and water features, it would be impossible to believe that there is anybody better in the area. If you compare their work with videos on Youtube, you'll see that they are comparable to the best in the USA. Initially I hired them for a small project of replacing the front steps and laying a flagstone walkway to connect my driveway to the front door. They were so respectful, dependable and eager to accomplish my vision that, one at a time, I kept adding more projects including removing trees, repairing some old rockwork started 20 years ago by the previous owner of my house -- to massive projects including a installing a large beautiful stone patio with fire pit, plus gravel bike paths and arbors. They topped it off by planting nearly 2000 bulbs, shrubs and trees. They worked without ever being either hectic or lazy -- and often with humor. At the very end, they left my property spotless. After the spring thaw, they will return to plant grass in the disturbed areas of my lawn and, as soon as the budget allows, I hope to have them back for an additional stonework project including a water feature. You could not call their prices cheap, but they are competitive, fair and well worth it. Excellent.

We did a complete backyard make over, with patio, a fish pond, landscaping and LED landscape lighting last summer with these guys. Job was completed in time and they took great attention to details. While they were not the cheapest, they are very knowledgable and provided a valuable service. Thanks.

We had an amazing experience working with Jorge and his crew. We started working with a landscape architect, who helped us find out exactly what we wanted in our home backyard. They answered all of our questions and were patient enough to rework plans multiple times to meet all of our expectations. High recommendation!

I hired Jorge in 2006 to do a retaining wall, pool patio, landscaping. I spent close to $100,000.00. In 2007 my wall started to fail. In 2009 it was leaning. In 2014 I had to redo the damaged sections myself. He did not come to fix my wall in 2007 thru 2009 when my warantee was in effect. When he came to look at it in 2014 he wanted me to pay to repair the wall. I found my contract and drawings he gave me in connection with the building of the wall. The spec calls for at least 2 layers of geogrid, I received 1. The specs called for soil for the first block and a half and gravel for the balance of the wall. I received soil for the first 4 levels and the soil is siting atop my only layer of geogrid. The wall failed at the soil line.I really did like Jorge as he seemed like a nice guy but I am extremely dissapointed that he didn't stand behind his work.

I engaged Aztlan Landscaping for a major multi year outdoor transformation. Jorge and his team designed and built a series of patios, retaining walls and side walks. I additionally worked with Azlan to design and install a series of small gardens that out simply amazing. Visitors to my home always complement me on how beautiful all of the work turned out.
