My husband and I enlisted Bayberry 3 yrs ago to design a landscape plan for our new house on 1.6 acres. As it was new construction we were starting from scratch. We knew what we wanted, and we intended to make our spot beautiful. Bayberry listened and delivered. The design phase went smoothly as we evolved to a working plan which included considerable hardscape (stone walls, walkways, 2 terraces, fire pit, pergola construction, grill install and a chip/seal driveway finish)- as well as planting of dozens of hardwoods and shrubs. They work to a high standard, their crews are hardworking, considerate and a delight to have around. We are at last complete, entirely satisfied and will continue to depend on Bayberry for maintenance , which they also do, of course, very well. Susie and Tom Swayne

My husband and I recently moved to the Seacoast of NH and just love living near the beach! As with many houses in our neighborhood, there is not a lot of land, but it was my dream to have beautifully landscaped space outdoors with privacy and lots of opportunities to entertain. This was the challenge that we brought to Bayberry & Company. I had a vision for what I wanted our patio to look like and communicated that to their team and over the course of a year of planning and going back and forth exchanging ideas, my vision was brought to life. There were two phases to our project, a hardscape brick patio in the fall, and then the finishes touches came in the spring/early summer with absolutely gorgeous floral landscaping done by their very talented landscape designer Jennifer. Our project manager Ben and his entire team was professional and courteous and did an outstanding job! We were so happy with the results that we have decided to expand our patio and start phase 3. If you are considering a hardscape or softscape for your home, I highly recommend Bayberry & Co and their team of professionals. You won't be disappointed!

Bayberry and Company did an outstanding job on regrading my side and backyard to keep water away from our foundation. From start to finish the communication was great, we knew when the job was starting what work would be done and how log it would take. Mike and Kyle from Bayberry did the work, working long days though the hot heat wave we had. The were extremely meticulous, making sure all the work done was to spec and at the end of the day cleaned up the area worked on. Justin visited our property to see how the work was progressing. Ben at the office responded to all questions we had almost immediately. We were very lucky to have such a great team and company to work with, Thank you!

Our space is particularly challenging but they do a great job of executing with what they have to work with. Their knowledge of horticulture is excellent and their team is always accommodating, polite and efficient. We've worked with 4 different companies over the past 12 years, and they all let us down, even with modest expectations. Justin and Bayberry & Co. designed and constructed the backyard of our dreams. The extensive project started with highly detailed designs and options, and Justin was very patient with our changes and additions. The project included: stone patio work, construction of a raised fire pit and sitting area, a pergola, a new deck with a waterproof outdoor kitchen underneath, and significant changes to the landscape while planting over 200 plants and trees, all while working around an existing pool! The construction started in November, and his crew could even work on many details right through the winter. Overall, the project lasted 8 months, but we never questioned the crew's work ethic. This was an extensive project that had many challenges along the way. Justin and his team always found creative solutions and ensured we were nothing but 100% satisfied with the final outcome. As the owner of a networking organization, I can comfortably state that I would be confident in referring Bayberry & Co for any project of any scale.

It’s rare to find folks in this industry who are responsive, honest, professional and deliver on the utmost quality promises we always hear about, but rarely experience. Bayberry does so in spades. I couldn’t be happier with the work they did, but it was the intangibles: leaving the job site clean after each day of work, responding to emails quickly, sticking to their budget, their timeline and being friendly professionals during each and every engagement that set them apart from the rest. I found Bayberry & Co to be very responsive to incorporating my last minute ideas and changes when they were appropriate. As a first timer with regard to using any landscaper, I was guided through the process, my thoughts were considered, and the pros and cons weighed respectfully. They helped me realized some of my suggestions plant-wise would not be conducive to my overall stated goals (low-maintenance, deer and drought resistant, etc.). I also appreciated their guarantees with respect to plants that do not perform as expected. The crews always left my property cleaned up (as much as possible, depending on the stage of work). One night, after loam and new grass seed had been spread, we had an unexpected torrential downpour. The crew was at my house early the next morning to survey the re-work that would be needed. Fortunately, even though my front yard is fairly steeply sloped, the work was minimal. Still, I really appreciated the quick response. Overall, you will find Justin (the owner) to know his stuff and employ people who take care doing the hard labor.

This summer Bayberry constructed a circular patio and surrounding plantings in the courtyard of my condo unit. I was delighted with all aspects of the job. I needed a design proposal fast, to get board approval for the project, and Justin was able to comply with this short deadline. He gave me options for the surfacing of the patio, but steered me in the right direction. On a couple of very hot days, his crew did the preliminary work of digging out the existing lawn and shrubbery and creating a base for the patio. Then the masonry crew came in and did an outstanding job of a perfectly executed round patio that merged into an existing walkway that I did not want to replace. Later in the summer another crew returned to install shrub and perennials according to the plan. They had to return yet another time to mulch after the irrigation company installed drip irrigation. All and all, a small but elegantly executed job. I was so pleased I've hired them for another job in my summer home!

Bayberry designed and installed our front and back walkways as well as the associated plantings and retaining walls. Their work and attention to detail is amazing. We absolutely love the finished product and their process was great as well. At the end of this project we immediately signed up for a phase two. If I had to identify cons I would say that their communication between signing the contract and the start of the project was minimal and that the subcontractor they selected for resurfacing my driveway was not good as they left a finished product that I’m not totally satisfied with. Overall, Bayberry is super professional and they are true artisans. I have recommended them to several friends and would recommend them to anyone doing landscaping or landscape design.

We have just enjoyed our first weekend on the patio that was installed by Bayberry and Company, and we love the new look! They’ve helped us upgrade our front walkway, back dining patio and steps, two sets of granite stairs that spanned the elevation to the lower levels of our yard that we hadn’t been able to utilize fully, and Goshen stone steppers to connect the elements all together. We were impressed with the employees on site, they showed us progress along the way and asked questions for our preferences. They also did an extremely thorough job at the cleanup, looming and seeding, and making sure things looked completed, even before nature has stepped in to grow everything back! Justin and the team at Bayberry & Company are exceptional in all aspects of the horticulture field. We met and hired Justin (a couple years ago) to re-design an existing landscape. He was full of innovating design ideas and readily worked with us to mold the design to our needs and desires. There were many design changes along the way and each time Justin rose to the challenge!! He took the time to detail each design phase with pictures and/or landscape material samples. This helped us to envision and work towards the new landscape design. Since then Justin and the team at Bayberry & Company have done several installations on the property. We have a beautiful, mature Japaneses Maple at our home that had been planted very close to the house by the previous owner 20 years ago. We asked Justin about moving the tree and he was very forthcoming about the pros and cons associated with relocating it as well as being completely transparent about the financial investment required to accomplish the task. My wife and decided to have Bayberry move the tree for us and we could not be happier. The crew that showed up to perform the work was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and hardworking. They cared for our tree like it was their own. We would have gladly paid the cost at the higher end of Justin's budget estimate, but in the end it only cost us HALF of that quote.

We used Bayberry Nurseries to install our backyard hardscape, bocce, planting beds, irrigation and some specimen trees. They did an amazing job, from design to installation! Their project management was excellent, keeping us up to date on the status of the various contractors; even in the face of inevitable weather or equipment delays. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the work crews were very professional and courteous - cleaning up after themselves on a daily basis. We could not be happier with outcome, and it all came in within the quoted budget! If you hire them, you won't be disappointed!

Justin and his team at Bayberry are fantastic! They did a great job with laying down our bluestone patio, a retaining wall and general landscaping. The team was punctual, respectful and quick to respond to questions/changes as our project progressed. They completed on time and have even come by twice since then to fix loose patio stones etc. After the project, the only unfavorable thing was quality of trees planted - unfortunately the evergreens have died on us 3 times already within the 1 year warranty period. Here again, Justin has exceeded expectations by replacing them at no cost. Fingers crossed for this winter!

This is testimonial for Justin White of Bayberry Nurseries as the firm did a fantastic job cleaning up and repairing a favorite tree at my home. During a recent storm a large section of a beautiful shade tree came down and exposed a significant portion of the tree to the environment. I was concerned that the tree was at risk and perhaps beyond saving. This particular tree is probably 30-40 years old, provides a lot of shade and really adds to the general landscaping and beauty of the yard. Justin sent over a Bayberry team that did a great job cleaning up the yard, made a surgical cut to repair the damage, and then installed steel cables to restore the structure of the tree and to prevent further damage. The guys were thoroughly professional, did what they said would in a timely manner, and most of all saved this tree. Kudos to Justin and Bayberry Nurseries, I highly recommend them.

We had a very steep slope in the front of our yard and never knew what to do with it. Finally, we decided on getting some professional help. Justin White at Bayberry Nurseries came up with 2 sets of plans for our yard. Justin's team was professional and kept me updated through the entire process. We had trees cut down, a stone wall built, extensive grading and plantings and a new lawn. It came out beautifully and we now have one of the best front yards in the neighborhood instead of the worst. Justin's team has since returned and refreshed our bark mulch and edgings and they do our lawn treatments throughout the year, too.

We contracted with Justin White and Bayberry Nurseries to landscape our small yard. In addition to plantings, the design drawn up by a landscape architect included a blue stone patio and macadam driveway edged in cobblestones. We could not be more pleased with the final results! Justin was very professional and in tune with our vision. His crew, headed by Mike Sarcione, is wonderful. They worked through all kinds of weather, accomplished the task and were eager to make sure we were pleased. During the whole process, Mike was communicative, responsive and responsible. Bayberry Nurseries has its own nursery stock so an added pleasure of the whole experience was visiting the nursery in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and tagging the specific treas we wanted for our yard. We have worked with Bayberry for the last couple years for ongoing projects; lawn renovation, outside lighting, tree plantings, and general maintenance. What I like most about Justin and his group is that they are very repsonsive. In particular we had some irrigation leaking problems ( unrelated to anything Bayberry had done) that they really helped us remedy. They followed up continuosly and coordinated with a well company to fix the problem. As an added plus they're justvery nice people.

We had a jungle in our yards. We got three estimates from three different local companies, and Jason impressed us not only with his knowledge and vision, but with his willingness to listen to what we wanted to see and spend. The work was done in a timely fashion, we saw Justin stopping in at least once a day to check up on what was being done, and when problems occurred (either due to roots or septic or whatever), different options were provided. Justin spent time with us at Bayberry choosing trees and plants, and steering us in the right direction. We were absolutely thrilled with the results- our landscaping is just gorgeous now! And we have way less weeds than we used to get due to a yearly spring mulching with some sort of 'magic' mulch Bayberry uses! Can't recommend them enough!

Bayberry Nurseries helped us chose a unique tree for our home landscape. The Bayberry associates harvested, transported and replanted our Paviflora on our property. They were professional, friendly, efficient, detail oriented, positive happy energy, hard working and a pleasure to have. I kind of feel they are like the landscape geeks! You know, the people who get really excited about plants and trees and know just way too much about them! This unique experience of choosing materials that are growing in the ground and have to be harvested was such a beautiful, joyful process. It's as if they not only care about the people, but they truly care about the trees and environment too. Justin really spent a lot of time to make sure he matched us with the right tree. We feel as if we have adopted into our family, a living energy that we will be happy to care for and watch grow. It was so easy!

Commented: Shrub or a treeThis is Ekianthus campanulatus- Redvein ekianthus which grows to approximately 10-15' tall and wide. It is also hardy for zone 5. Thank you for your inquiry!

Commented: Will Japanese maples survive in North Dakota?There are some varieties that will work to zone 4 without much effort. Zone 3 will most likely be to cold without additional effort and assistance by yourself therefore not worth the investment.

Commented: What is the name of the tree?? With the red leavesMost Acer palmatum varieties will grow in a hardiness range of Zone 5 - Zone 8. With that said, unfortunately in Zone 9 & 10 these trees will not be able to endure the heat.
