Berkeley Design Group is a Williamsburg based landscape design firm serving Williamsburg, Richmond and Hampton Roads. Our company was founded in 2007 and is the vision of Mike Turkovich who works personally with each and every client throughout the entire design process. We specialize in the design and implementation of truly unique and highly detailed custom landscapes which reflect exacting standards and an unparalleled attention to detail. I have to follow up on my April 2017 review. Everything that I wrote then is true. Unfortunately though, it has been over two and a half years and our pavers have not been sealed as Mike told us would be done. I also never received the plant credit I was promised. There was some final landscaping work that they were going to do--it never happened and I ended up doing it myself. Communication has been very sparse with long periods of complete silence from Mike. He'll say, "Let's get your driveway sealed!" then literally go comm-out for months and months, not replying to texts (his preferred method of communication). This has happened repeatedly. We have lost hope that our driveway will ever get sealed. If we had known this to begin with, we might have chosen someone else to redo our beautiful driveway.

When I first saw Mike's design, I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for: beautiful, functional and low maintenance. The installation went smoothly with no surprises. We were updated and informed every step of the way. This was the easiest home improvement project we have ever undertaken.

If you are considering getting a new paver driveway, I would highly recommend Berkeley Design Group, owned by Mike Turkovich. Mike is an easygoing, knowledgeable, pleasant man with whom to work and his crew did an amazing job removing the old driveway, regrading and installing our beautiful new driveway to the highest standards. We have received many, many compliments on the way it looks. We are extremely pleased.

Mike at Berkeley Design group turned our abysmal backyard into a dream scape. We now have a gorgeous backyard that we can spend time in year round, and at a very reasonable price. Mike worked with us to make our dream a reality and always took time to ensure we were informed of the progress thoroughout th entire project. I wish I had a bigger yard to give a bigger canvas for Mike to do his magic on.

Very impressed with the work of Mike and his team. After finalizing the design process the project was done in a very timely matter. The quality of the work was also excellent and although a bit pricy the value returned is worth it.

Mike Turkovich's Berkeley Design Group is a quality driven, customer oriented landscape company. I have been working with Mike for ten years and he never lets me down; he and his team are dedicated and professional. Additionally, Mike is a very talented design expert. His company recently did a backyard project for us that turned out beautifully-it looks great in all seasons as well. His design work is so creative, for large and small projects, and his crews are responsive and courteous to the homeowners. Mike is a gem to work with, he answers calls promptly, he demonstrates attention to detail, and he's on call if you need him. (He has returned to our back yard at night so he could get the perfect lighting design for our trees and patio.) He's a delightful person to work with. Call Berkeley Design Group and talk to Mike. Having moved to Williamsburg from "up north"' we were concerned about the laid back attitude of some contractors we wanted to hire for landscaping work. Mike and his team of workers are reliable and conscientious. The work was accomplished in a timely manner with minimal mess. We highly recommend Mike and Berkely Design Group for all landscaping needs!
