“First-time homebuyer, looking to create a grassy backyard for my young kiddos to play. Fernando has the heart of a teacher, so he took the time to explain WHAT he was doing and WHY he was doing it. Same with his crew, which went out of their way to explain certain aspects of safety and ways to protect the home from possible water damage (thanks Martin). Fernando was consistent and timely in his communication throughout the project. Fernando also worked well and coordinated with the other contractor doing work at the time, which was super important given that the projects overlapped. I also appreciate Fernando’s vision for the work. We talked about where things could be given more budget. This allowed us to set a foundation for future projects, which will save us time and money. Finally, Fernando has gone above and beyond even though the project is complete. He still comes by to check on the yard to make sure things are going well, which is super appreciated. This was my first time on Houzz, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am very grateful that Fernando and Ambient Landscaping reached out to my initial post. They were fair, did excellent work, and can’t recommend them enough.”

“My husband and I moved to our dream house a year ago and it had everything we wanted except a patio. There was a built in barbecue area, a pool and then just grass. To make matters worse, the grass by the barbecue was always like a swamp and looked horrible. We really wanted to get a concrete patio to go with the look of our house and make our backyard more usable. I got quotes from 3 different landscapers, including Jilzart. Not only was Jilzart the most affordable, but it also came with an added bonus: someone with an amazing eye for design. They didn't just quote us on a slab of concrete. They gave us the idea to create squares of concrete with artificial grass in between to make this area flow into the greenery of the rest of our yard. The artificial grass truly blends in with the real grass in the rest of our yard. They also helped us plant beautiful succulent arrangements in planters to make the patio feel like a true oasis. I loved their design aesthetic so much that I also had them help me with the interior of my home. Creative, affordable, reliable and on schedule!! I highly recommend!”

“As a long distant landlord, I was naturally concerned about the kind of work, response times and willingness to accommodate both me and my tenants. I should not have been concerned. I knew that removing our lawn and putting in drought tolerant plants was something that needed to be done with our So. Cal home, so I did lots of homework before contacting G and L. They worked with my needs, my tenants needs and kept in touch quickly and professionally. For the same budget as filling the front with rocks and a few succulents offered by other landscapers, I got beautiful plants, NO rocks and lots of color. While I have only seen photos of the work, I can say that I am happy with the results and may just have to make a trip out to actually see the transformation. I know that in a year, it will look even better! I have no doubt that I will recoup my investment when the time comes to sell the property. In the meantime, my tenants will no longer have house-payment size water bills. We are all happy!”
