California Nativescapes

Rebecca and her crew did a fantastic from design thru completion of changing our .64 acreage lot of high water use lawn to beautiful California Nativescaping! Rebecca worked closely with us to create a beautiful retreat in our back yard, we are very happy about the results!

Great work with the final landscape design and that so much of leftover concrete could be recycled into new retaining walls and stepping stones. She took a long time (months) before getting back to me when I first contacted her about initiating this project. But once it was underway, she was much more accessible. Although there were miscommunications and disagreements with the proprietor over parts of the implementation, she was responsive once everybody was on the same page over whatever the issue happened to be. She underestimated the time it would take to complete the project (was projected to be completed in 2 weeks, but actually took over a month) which lead to the cost estimate being a lot more than anticipated. But I think it's the 1st time she and her team (comprised of 2 men) undertook a project on such a large scale. Whatever plants that died, she replaced for free. As far as the mechanics of running a business, I think she could use some assistive help to keep things organized. But she does an excellent job with the landscape design and has expert knowledge in botany and plant care. Since the project was completed she has remained easily accessible if I had any questions.

I have had the privilege of working with Ms. Rebecca Schoenenberger, sole owner (and operator and designer and... well, all around garden guru) ever since I bought my home 5+ years ago. When I moved in (as she can herself attest), fully 80% of my 6500+ sq. ft. lot was covered in concrete. When she arrived at my home, did she balk or flinch in the slightest?? Nope, not this young lady. Rebecca and her top-notch team tore up that concrete in ONE day AND then proceeded to use the pieces to build three amazing veggie beds and a pathway throughout my garden. I can't tell you all how amazed I was with the results. In a matter of days, literally, I had a whole new yard! She did such an amazing job, I can't bear to think of using someone else. So, since then, I have had several garden projects, and she has been involved in every single one. I continue to be impressed. Not only has she worked with me on my grandiose ideas of my perfect garden, she has also managed to work within my budget... Not an easy task with me. I cannot say enough incredible things about Ms. Schoenenberger and her skills. Oh, did I mention she got me money back from the city o San Jose for putting in a much more sustainable garden. Rebecca and her crew are very thorough. They listen to your needs and create a space that makes your vision come to life. Our family is very pleased with the project and look forward to seeing it all grow over time!

I love our back and side yard California Nativescapes designed and created for us! Rebecca Schoenenberger was professional and thorough throughout the whole process. Our project began and was completed on time and she also kept us posted via email every step of the way. She is also a Master Gardner, and you can absolutely tell by her recommendation of drought resistance and native plants for our property.

California Nativescapes has done a great job on our backyard. They installed a drip system and continued to maintain it. We recently had them come back after several years and add some plants and mulch. They provide a proposal and estimate for the job so that you know what work and material you are paying for.
