My dream was to create a butterfly garden for my daughter with severe disabilities. Chris not only gave us a beautiful design but his compassion, generosity and integrity in implementing it went above and beyond. We love our new garden. This was a design and install project by CJ's Yardworks for us, and it was a rather large project. Our beds turned out absolutely amazing! We had some issues but that was to be expected with this size of a job. Things have been resolved and we are very pleased with their work.

Contacted CJ's to discuss our project with Chris. We talked about the look we wanted and some options. Chris developed a landscaping drawing incorporating our vision. We met Chris at the nursery to look at plants he suggested. We had Chris out a second time to review and finalize the plan. Steve and his crew did a great job with the install working with us to insure everything met our expectations. This included complete removal of a tree, removal of old shrubs and plants, installation of new beds, new plants, irrigation changes, new hardscape on side yard and new sod on new topsoil. The removal and install took 3 plus days. We are very pleased with the results. Getting lots of compliments from friends and neighbors.

We contacted CJ's to finish the landscape around our year old pool and redo our basic builders landscape. After a sit down consult, Chris came back to us with a beautiful plan for our entire yard. Our goal was to have a tropical retreat in Katy. We also had a very specific color palette. Given all this, CJ's came through with a gorgeous finished product! We love our yard and can't wait to see it all grow up and fill in to be our jungle. :) Chris and his team have been great to work with. There was always someone here who could speak some English. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Our follow-up on some tweaking has been smooth. As usual, communication could have been better, but that is a given in most situations. Highly recommend!

We recently hired Cj's Yardworks to complete a landscape installation for a new construction home. We started with an irrigation system, a couple of live oaks and a handful of shrubs provided by the builder. We ending with a beautiful setting which enhanced and framed our pool. The owner, Chris, provided a hand-drawn colored landscape design detailing each and every item to be installed, which included irrigation modification, water feature, foundation landscaping, fence-line landscaping, landscaping to frame the pool, a rock border around the existing front bed and enhancement of the plants in the front bed. Jen was efficient at responded to multitudes of emails from me with questions or requests and customer service went above and beyond. After putting some plants I had reviewed into the ground, I changed my mind and Chris's son, Tod, was gracious in replacing them with another color for no extra charge. He also stopped by several times to take care of the plants during the process, adjusting the irrigation schedule during the massive spring rains and hand-watering to remove gunite overspray from the pool installation, all without being asked. They are truly a design and installation service without equal.

Our pool builder referred us to CJ's Landscaping after the completion of the pool. My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Chris and Jen! From the initial visit to our home where he explained his concept, to the meeting at the nursery to discuss the plants he was proposing, Chris was very patient and knowledgeable. He offered several options for ground cover, as well as trees and shrubs to provide privacy for our backyard. Once the job began, they worked efficiently and kept the area tidy at the end of each day. The supervisor was there daily and checked in with us, answering any questions we had. They finished a day ahead of schedule! Once the job was complete, Chris came and walked through and promptly completed some minor changes and tweaking of the backyard lighting. We are thrilled with the final result in our new backyard oasis! The Mediterranean concept that Chris sketched for us has given us the backyard we dreamt of. We are looking forward to many years of family fun and relaxation in our new space...

We recently completed a major backyard construction project including a pool, spa, giant waterfall, outdoor kitchen, upper deck, gazebo, and extensive landscaping. The company that did the pool recommended CJ's for the landscaping work. We had already purchased some large palm trees and some plants that we intended to have another nursery plant. However, after meeting with Chris, we decided to do more extensive landscaping and he integrated those plants into his design. When the other nursery attempted to plant the palm trees, they failed miserably, and Chris's team had to step in and help them. If not for them, the trees would not have even been staked properly. The work is complete now and the backyard is a work of art due in no small part to the landscaping work that CJ's did. My wife and I were just married in the backyard and everyone was raving about the landscaping. Thanks Chris and team.

Cj's did an amazing job on our landscaping and lighting around our pool. Chris takes your ideas and vision and turns them into a reality! His crew worked so hard in the hot Texas sun. Jen that works in the office was awesome!! She was on top of communication with us every step of the way. I think they were very fair in their pricing and they use very good organic soil. Another thing I really liked that was different from other companies I had gotten quotes from, was that Chris likes to meet you at the nursery before the project gets started. This is very helpful for someone like me who doesn't know much about plants and flowers. I would highly recommend them!! You won't regret it!!

We recently installed a pool and the pool company recommended CJ's Yardworks. In the past we have used people who just didn't live up to our expectations. Chris came out and met with us. He really listened to what we wanted to complete our back yard landscaping. We met with him at the nursery in Katy where we talked about design and color. He noted which plants we preferred and incorporated them into his design. Just before install we made some last minute changes like adding lighting and flagstone instead of a deck. The flagstone looks great. Throughout the process we corresponded with Jen who responded timely and helped us complete the package. They don't get paid until the work is done and that was a nice change of pace. All in all we really like the job they did and would definitely use CJ's again!

It’s rare that you come across standout talent and service like CJ’s Yardworks. My wife and I spent months searching for a landscape company who could not only meet, but exceed our expectations. We were introduced to CJ’s Yardworks by word-of-mouth. They came highly recommended. We met with Chris, the owner, and he was very intuitive and listened to what we had envisioned. This was very different from other consultations where the other companies tried to upsell us without taking our vision into consideration. There was something different about Chris. Chris took his years of experience and our vision and created a masterpiece. He was extremely passionate about helping us achieve our goals, not just his. He quickly conveyed his vision of adding depth and layering to create a dynamic environment that would allow our backyard to feel like a resort. Jen was our direct point of contact during the installation. She was exceptional. Jen clearly communicated each step within the installation process. She told us when the crew would be at the house, what they were going to accomplish that day, and what decisions needed to be made. You cannot find customer service like this anywhere else……Trust me!! The installation crew was extremely professional. They worked hard and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. They were extremely flexible with all of our one-off requests. They power sprayed everything at the completion of the project. I felt like they were actually landscaping their own yard. When looking to start a landscape plan for our back yard, we did some homework of companies in our area. A friend had just recently finish up their backyard with CJ's and suggest I put them in my list of companies to consider. We ended up choosing CJ's to help us design a 5 phase plan for transforming our back yard over the next few yrs. CJ's has completed Phases I & II and we are truly enjoying it very much. As we are continually having friends over who have loved our plan and the phases we've completed, we've ended up recommending CJ's to 4 couples. All 4 have since contracted with CJ's and all now have wonderful backyards to enjoy, all thanks to CJ's Yardworks. You should at least speak with Jen at the office to setup a meeting with Chris. Have him come by and sit down with you to discuss your thoughts on your yard. He is competent and knows what "great looks like."

We had a great experience with CJ's yard works. We started by hiring them to co-ordinate with the pool company the landscaping around the pool. We talked with over 5 different landscapers and clearly Chris and his team were the best for the job. His unique design created the outdoor oasis we were looking for. After his team finished that project we hired them to fix our front yard which was builder quality landscaping. He was efficient in using the materials we already had and then enhanced them to provide our front yard with the curb appeal we were looking for including uplighting. We would highly recommend Cj's.
