Janice and her team completely transformed our (huge) backyard into the space we’ve wanted it to be for 5-6 years at this point. It was one giant, unlevel, and difficult to maintain space that our family never used - Janice’s design and her team turned it into a beautiful, liveable space that we envision our family using for years to come. We found Colorado Native Landscapes and Design, LLC after discussing our retaining wall project with many landscape companies and contractors. Janice was quick to respond and was able to speak to all of our questions and concerns. She and the team were able to prioritize what was most important to us. I appreciate the constant communication between the team and all parties involved (we had 3 neighbors involved in the project) about who will be here and when. Janice at Colorado Native Landscapes & Design did a fantastic job xeriscaping the front of my house on both sides of the sidewalk. I couldn't have been happier with the work that she did both in design and in overseeing the materials & labor as the general contractor. Janice was very patient with me during the COVID outbreak and with all of my early indecision. She we way above and beyond in terms of design, planning, execution, and most importantly - communication. She even checked in on her work 6 & 12 months after completing the project to ensure my satisfaction and give me tips and pointers for efficient upkeep. The project entailed removal of old mulch, soil, and planters boxes that dated the house and didn't match the aesthetic of a turn-of-the century 1906 Denver bungalow. The project properly graded the property to allow for water runoff, installed French drains to move more water away from the house, added a highly efficient drip irrigation system, and a xeric landscape of fresh mulch, grasses, a dry creek rock bed, flowers, and bushes that look great, require minimal water, and thrive in the dry high plains climate of Denver, Colorado. My favorite part of the project are also the large granite boulders that Janice handpicked from a quarry west of Denver. They line the front of the property and give the house a unique look on the block that still 100% appropriate for the neighborhood. I'd recommend Janice and Colorado Native Landscapes & Design to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again for my current residence or a future residence.

Janice and her team transformed our landscape from nearly unusable to a wonderful, lovely, peaceful yard. Daily updates made it easy to be gone for two-weeks in the middle of the project. We had no worries about the quality and quantity of the work. Everything went very smoothly and we are very satisfied clients.

Janice and her team were great to work with. I had reached out to her in January so we could begin discussion on converting our entire front lawn and back side yard to a drought tolerant space. she worked on design and took our feedback to make adjustments as well as listened to our budget. We had also worked with Resource Central through the city of Westminster and the conservation options they were offering and she was able to meet the timelines we had set up with them. CO Native landscape is not the 1st landscape company we have worked with, nor is it the first contractor we have worked with. We were very pleased with her level of communication (daily) and the work the team put in (over weekends) to make up for lost time due to weather delays. Colorado Native Landscapes & Design did a wonderful job on our complete front yard make-over to a native drought-tolerant landscape. Janice worked to understand our objectives, and style as we went through the design phase. As we entered construction, she made sure everything was done correctly and in agreed time frames.
