I’ve never undertaken a renovation project so big before but I couldn't be happier with the incredible work done by Family Tree and Garden! They were professional, responsive, and truly listened to what I wanted for my outdoor space. The team was punctual, respectful, and kind to my pet horse who lives in my yard. Their attention to detail was outstanding—from the curved paver bridge to the detail of the deck; every element was done with care and precision. Now my yard looks absolutely stunning and has become my favorite place to relax and entertain. I've received so many compliments from neighbors and friends, and I’m thrilled with the transformation. Bonnie and her team are great. They completely transformed the area around my home into a beautiful landscape with a flagstone entrance, stone-lined paths, a gorgeous water feature, and my words do not do it justice as it is fantastic. I had a vision and Bonnie was able to listen and find a way to translate that dream into reality with a dedicated, hard-working team. It's a pleasure to work with her-any mistake she makes she addresses it promptly for instance-and everyone she works with is someone with integrity. Bonnie Barabas is an artist whose medium is plants. Our front yard was a dead lawn surrounded by dying shrubs. I needed a true designer, someone who would do more than put in predictable plants in a predictable pattern. Bonnie had the artistic vision, and the experience and expertise, to create a garden that is both unique and suited to its environment, both interesting and restful. Our barren slope is now a terraced space where a medley of shapes, shades and textures mingle with rock features and new trees, an unexpected combination of elements that draws the eye, and the gazes of passersby. Bonnie welcomed a collaborative effort, answering my questions and working with my ideas. She was always willing to make adjustments and was unfazed when unexpected site problems arose. Throughout the project she and her team were a pleasure to work with. Her crew is obviously experienced and mirrored both her work ethic and careful precision in every aspect. We have enjoyed the process as much as we are thrilled with the result. We are now looking forward to springtime when the flowering plants will bloom and the local birds and bees will join us in enjoying our new garden!

Bonnie and her crew are knowledgeable, experienced, skillful, reliable and a pleasure to work with. I was referred to them by friends who had used them and had a good experience. They completed a design-and-plant landscape project for my church which turned out well. Since then they have done work at my home on a regular basis.

Bonnie and her team were professional and responsive. She took our suggestions and combined those with her extensive knowledge of plants and trees that would do well in our yard. We are happy with the outcome and will hire Bonnie again for the next tree we plant and any other gardening needs.

We asked Bonnie to design and implement a draught tolerent garden to replace the green lawn. This was to incorporate our wish to use water more efffectively and continue to be a garden of beauty. She kept the orchard area and then created an organic flowing garden , including vegetable boxs with paths and rock hardscapes. She transformed and re-purposed a boulder to make steps, benches, rock hardscapes and a ramp to create both beauty and function at the same time. She and her team, Bryn, Dan, Artemio and others were easy to work with, as well as warm and professional too. They were open to amend the design and were receptive to our last minute changes, often refining and improving them with enthusiasm. Trees were transplanted and they survivied! Flowers were chosen to come into bloom at various times of the year allowing us to enjoy colour year round. Also with the recent winter rains we learnt how limited our roof drains really were. Dan and crew corrected the house's drainage system. The irrigation system was refined and upgraded too. They met and exceeded our expectations. We now have a lovely garden to work in, to cut flowers, to grow vgetables and to play bachi too. We highly recomend Family Tree and Garden.

We have used Bonnie and crew for two yard projects with number three to be completed later this year! We have been extremely pleased with her design and plant selection. Her crew is competent and tidy (big plus)! Fabulous communication and timelines were met and appreciated. We absolutely love our new bocce court and yard!

I couldn't have asked for a better landscape designer than Bonnie! She struck a great balance between listening to what we wanted and making recommendations from her experience. We are very happy with the plan she produced. 10/10, highly recommend!

When we needed a new maintenance crew for an estate I manage, Bonnie’s name was recommended to us. With the first walk through Bonnie was confident that she and her crew could help fix then maintain the varied gardens that had seen better days. We are now three years on and the gardens have never looked better! Bonnie’s eye and expertise have helped us restore the good areas and redesign the areas that were most troublesome. It’s always a pleasure to work with Bonnie on these evolving projects! We cannot say enough good about her crew, they’re excellent at what they do and, in addition, are wonderful professional people.

Writing a review is not something I normally would do, but in this case I really wanted to shout-out about our experience with Family Tree & Garden. What’s exceptional about working with Bonnie is, not only her CREATIVITY and expertise with plants but; her ability to work with the owner, the property and the existing landscape to evolve and improve beyond expectation. She has vision to understand the final desired outcome. We had a vague notion of what we wanted and Bonnie’s choices of plants, design aesthetic and execution exceeded our expectations. In other words, she understood our intentions and what she delivered exceeded even our imagination. As we go forward with our landscaping projects we now absolutely trust her judgements and give her free reign.
