There are a lot of great landscape designers and installers in the Bay Area. FANNY OBADIA IS NOT ONE OF THEM. She is completely untrustworthy and, once she has your money, you will never see her again. I've been waiting a year and a half before I posted this review since I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I hired her in February of 2020 to do planting in my back yard. Since it was during Covid, I was stuck in my home office and all I wanted was some extra plants behind my pool area, so that I could look out and see some color. She would not give me a plant list, basically asking me to trust her. These pictures are what it looks like after spending $10,000. Judge for yourself. The week after she planted was one of those heat waves we get in the Bay Area and several plants died. I asked her to come out and see what happened. I thought this was a reasonable request, don't you? She refused to even come out and look at them. I've contacted her five times over the past year and a half, just asking her to come out and look. I never asked for a refund, I didn't ask for plants, and I waited month after month for her to respond in a positive way. She gave me one unbelievable excuse after another (some of them were real doozies), and except for the day she planted, hasn't returned and won't. Please avoid the aggravation and disappointment in working with her. There are too many other competent and trustworthy landscapers you can hire, both of which, she is not.

Having previously worked with Fanny on several projects when it came time to address my own yard I knew she was the right person for the job. After a remodel left our lawns trashed I decided now was the time to transform them into something more interesting. Fanny and her team did an amazing job creating new and unique spaces using both native and drought tolerant specimens. Our yard is now part of our home. The transition between indoor and out spaces has been relaxed opening up our interior rooms to beautiful outdoor spaces that celebrate the California landscape. Our one year old daughter loves the pathways installed around the new garden beds and we love our new outdoor dining room. Fanny is a true artist and was able to seamlessly integrate new plantings with existing mature landscaping. Each season brings new surprised with colorful blooms. We're excited to see everything grow and look forward to creating great memories of time spent enjoying our new garden!

Fanny has designed and installed both my front and back gardens. What makes her different from other landscapers is her unique design concepts and artistic sense. I let her work freely in my garden and the result is always well thought ou, professionally executed, and timely. People walking by often stop to enjoy the front edible garden and marvel at how beautiful AND functional it is.

I've had the pleasure of having Fanny on board to create several beautiful landscapes, most recently my own water-wise garden. Green Thumbs Up replaced distressed patches of lawn with a fragrant array of manzanitas, salvia, ferns, colorful flowers and fruit trees, accented by stone features. Quite a transformation – in little more than a week! Fanny is talented, knowledgable, passionate about her craft and a delight to work with. The end result is simply wonderful.
