“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“I'm writing this review in regards to a landscape project our condominium just completed. After interviewing a number of designers and contractors we settled with Kyle Johnson of Seed Landcare as our contractor. Kyle, working closely with Katie Cool the landscape designer, came up with a beautiful drought tollerant design. The implementations was not easy because our condo was mid-century with landscaping to boot! I was amazed at the speed in which Kyle and his crew was able to remove all the grass and shrubs to begin with a clean slate. We had two old olive trees we wanted to save which were on a mound bordered with ugly concert bricks. Kyle came up with a beautiful solution of removing the bricks and bordering the trees with natural wood boxes which his crew built. It looks fantastic! In addition to that, Seed Landcare was responsible for doing all the plumbing for the drip irrigation, planting the new trees and plants, doing electrical for the outdoor lighting and installing the water-meter timer and rain sensor. As part of Seed Landcare service, Kyle has been by the project (after completion) to make sure everything is in working order and looks great. It was a pleasure working with Kyle and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of our new, drought tolerant landscaping. I would highly recommend Kyle and Seed Landcare to anyone, friends or family.”
