Landscaping By Yosh I have worked with Yosh Fukuman (Landscaping by Yosh) since 2008. Matsuda's Nursery recommended him as one of the best designers in Sacramento. He designed and installed a beautiful, low maintenance garden for us at a rental property in South Land Park. We have continued to work with him over the last eight years. About a year and a half ago, we tore down a rental house on the property next door to us, merged the lots and built a guest house and garage. Yosh did the design and the construction for both the front and back yard. It was no small undertaking. Yosh graded the property to improve drainage, replaced an ancient sprinkler system, extended a brick porch, added lights, a concrete patio and seat walls. He worked well with our general contractor. He has good subcontractors and contacts in the industry. Everyone he brought on the job was, like Yosh, easy to work with, fastidious about the quality of their work, professional, competent and reliable. Yosh is very careful about costs,. My husband and I felt like we got good value and then some for every dollar spent. And he has always been quick to address our concerns, questions and suggestions. :Yosh is personable, knowledgeable and creative with a wonderful sense of color and space. He also very good at knowing what to keep. For example, we were able to re-use bricks from most of the old mow strips. We moved a lovely old gate and fence to a new spot. And we saved a number of larger plants and found places for them in the new garden. I think Yosh's ability to blend the old and the new has played an important part in the success of our garden.. We have gotten lots of compliments from friends and strangers alike and the most consistent comment has been: This is beautiful and it looks like it has always been here. I am happy to echo Matsuda's Nursery and recommend Landscaping by Yosh and Yosh himself, unequivocally.

Since his design, procurement and installation of our 1-acre residential landscape in 1996, we have never considered anyone taking care of our landscaping needs other than Yosh Fukuman (Landscaping by Yosh). Yosh took a totally blank hillside canvas and created a harmonious blend of natural plants/trees/flowers and boulders (individually selected and placed by Yosh) which took advantage of the gentle slopes, forming a calm oases through the winding walkways and shaded areas reflection, providing a sense that every item was indigenous for a hundred years. His eye for simplicity and order provides us with an appreciation of each plant and tree for their individual beauty as well as their coherence in a planned and well executed natural landscape. Over the years, we have relied on Yosh's practiced eye and skill to maintain our landscaping through periods of growth and the ravages of drought. His ability to shape trees and bushes creating perfect pictures from any perspective has enabled us to enjoy the beauty of his gift.

Landscaping by Yosh designed and completed my backyard in 2013 and front yard in 2015. Yosh is an extremely talented and knowledgeable landscape artist, as well as a true professional. His employees and subcontractors are dedicated and trustworthy. HIs follow through and follow up is the best. The needs and desires of the homeowner are always in the forefront.
