Right from the beginning Marlinski's has been amazing. They show up when they state they will, They explain what they are doing so the end project is perfect, and the best part is the end result is better than what I thought possible. Everyone on the crew is polite and seem to really enjoy what they do and working for Pat, which says a lot about a company. The foreman, Rob is phenomenal to work with, he has very creative ideas and designs. Again, the entire crew takes pride in what they do they get excited by the end result of what they created as a team. Highly recommend them!

Pat Marlinski's work is excellent! We are so happy with the stonework and landscaping in our side yard! He is honest, fair and hard working. His workers are considerate and hard working also! Pat and his crew went beyond our expectations of a finished product! We had a bunch of hardscaping done, so lots of steps(we live on the side of a hill) and a couple of patios done. We also had them create a filter system for our downspout water as we live on a lake and didn’t want the rain water going into the lake(contaminate reduction system). Pat’s Crew Head, Rob also was awesome! The whole crew was nice and communicative. We feel that communication is key in any business! They hit all our expectations and more!

In this unusual year of supply issues Pat began working with our project 3 months before it was able to be completed. After developing a design that ticked all the boxes, he kept us informed of the delivery progress. Once a specific date became realistic, he set a date and that was the day they showed up with all the trees. The weather was not great, lots of rain causing damage while accessing our back yard with the equipment. The job was done when he said it would be, the damaged area was filled and reseeded. Also important to us, was everyone of different members of his crew made sure to introduced themselves and ask if we had questions as the job progressed. Bottom line; not unplanned extra costs, done when scheduled. We would highly recommend Marlinski Landscape to anyone.

Pat and his crew replaced our wooden deck with a stone patio, sitting wall, built in planters and a gas fire place in June of 2021. From start to finish, the entire crew was not only talented, but also very professional. Not living at the home full time we weren't able to see daily progress though Pat took the time to text at the end of almost everyday to let us know the progress, expectations for the next days work as well as sending multiple photos. The attention to detail, craftsmanship and communication was second to none. We will definitely use them in the future as well as highly recommend them to anyone that asks. Pat and his team planted a beautiful tree, removed two very long, uneven concrete walkways, and replaced them with gorgeous flagstone walkways. Everyone at Marlinksi was a pleasure to work with. Their work is beautiful and really transformed the look of my house. Pat and his team were professional, hardworking, and knowledgeable. Marlinski Landscape and Stone Work replaced an old broken flagstone front entry walkway for me this fall. The removal of the old flagstone and bricks was completed, the site cleaned up, and the new tumbled stone laid in a random pattern. The crew is very professional, arrives on time, and kept me informed on their progress. Mr. Marlinski is a very hands on professional who steps in and guides the crew when needed. As the stone work was completed, I requested an additional task of cleaning a garden area that adjoined the walkway. Mr. Marlinski found some time in his scheduled projects to have the crew remove the garden plants, level the soil, and spread grass seed. The final project is wonderful - an attractive solid walkway and lawn area for the front entry of the house. This is the 4th project Marlinski Landscaping and Stone Work have completed for me and I could not be more pleased. I already have a project for next spring planned. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs landscaping or stone work done.

Pat and his crew did a waterfall for me in my backyard. I had been looking at a pile of dirt for over two years and in 4 days they transformed it into a beautiful waterfall, landscaped it and incorporated a metal bridge that I had previously purchased. They came up with the idea of a dry bed under the bridge and tied it in with the waterfall. The crew did an amazing job and I would highly recommend them for any outdoor landscaping projects.

I hired Pat Marlinski to install a retaining wall at the side of my house to prevent erosion, to remove an old deck and build a new paver terrace with a pergola to screen it from the street. I had used Pat before for landscaping projects so I knew his work ethic and professionalism. Needless to say, he quickly developed a set of plans for both the retaining wall and the new terrace. He kept the budget in mind so I didn't worry about overruns! His crew worked quickly, cleanly, and quietly too. The materials were delivered and work started on schedule and by early summer we had a new terrace for enjoying the lake. I highly recommend Pat for any landscaping or stonework projects. "Lakewood NY residential patio" was our project. Pat Marlinski met with us twice to discuss our interests and possible project ideas before presenting his final recommendations. He paid attention to all of the design details, including creating the best sight lines from inside our house to all the outdoor features of the project. He tailored his recommendations to fit our budget. In addition to creating a beautiful outdoor space for us, Pat and his crew paid special attention to the parts of the project you don't see: the proper preparation of the land, handling drainage issues, and the building of a sound foundation for the patio and the features. As a result, three years later the project remains in outstanding condition and we couldn't be happier with it.

Marlinski has done several projects for at our house and all the work was top notch. Great ideas for updates to the property and always bearing in mind the upkeep (and minimizing that need for the me the home owner!) We had some pretty serious drainage and water pooling issues with our old pathways and Pat and the crew re-leveled and we now have all the water during rain storms heading to the drains and away from the house. In addition to the functional upgrade, the work looks fantastic and tied together the flower beds, decking and yard. Finally, the crew working for Marlinski are great. They are courteous, on time and very professional at all times, work hard and do great quality work. I can't recommend Pat and his team enough. 5 Stars.

We are SO pleased with how Pat transformed the front of our home! It's just beautiful!! He definitely knows design.Never a worry, never had to check, trusted him completely. Everyone working was so nice, and they all worked so hard. They started on Monday and were done by Friday. There was never a mess at the end of the day, which was very appreciative. Pat and one of the guys made and gave us a gift of two beautiful christmas planters. We are so glad we had Pat and his team do the job! We plan on having Pat do our backyard in the spring.

After coping with deteriorating concrete steps and walkway for years, we contacted Patrick through Houzz. He came by that same day, looked over the (admittedly small) job, and sent us an proposal within hours. I called back and he was able to get a crew here the next day. The entire job, from first contact to finish, took under 48 hours. Amazing. The stonework is beautiful and the crew were extremely respectful of our yard plantings -- nothing out of place or damaged. We are delighted with the work and the workmen!

We had a deck off the back of our house that was in very bad condition. It was a pressure treated deck and the previous owners had painted it. It was just a mangled mess of peeled paint. The other thing that I hated about it was that it was raised and regularly housed raccoon families. My wife and I were in agreement that we needed to do something and we were leaning toward a "trex" style deck. Fortunately I had a brainstorm... what if we had a paver patio installed instead of a deck? I started to research local companies that could design and install paver patios and it was obvious that Marlinski was tops. Upon initial contact Pat quickly visited us to discuss our application. My wife and I are not landscape designers so we were only able to offer very basic ideas about our likes and dislikes. Fortunately Pat Marlinski excels in design. He has a great talent for designing new elements that fit with the existing property. We liked his ideas so much that we also decided to have him install pavers in place of an existing cement sidewalk entry to the house and to install pavers over a cement slab porch on the front of the house. Pavers are not cheap but I really appreciate the lower maintenance vs. wood or laminate decks. We have just emerged from the coldest winter in Western New York history and the paver work that Marlinski did emerged absolutely perfectly! It is beautiful and is perfectly graded to drain storm water. Marlinski's team of landscapers were very professional. They worked quickly but with great skill. They thoroughly cleaned up each day before leaving. Pat mentioned to us that the late date of planting for a number of the new plants might lead to their early demise but he promised that all came with a one year warranty. To his word, Pat Marlinski returned in Spring of 2015 and replaced the several plants that did not survive the summer, fall and brutal winter of the last year. We were so fortunate to connect with Marlinski Landscape & Stone Work this March! Pat was prompt in contacting AND consulting with us about our need to have work done on our front entrance as well as our landscaping. Within two days, we had a contract for all of the work as well as an incredible plan. Pat and his team were outstanding in their work ethic and more importantly in the caliber of their work!! Hired Marlinski Landscape and Stone Work to build a stone patio and fire pit at our lake house. We were very pleased with the service we got from beginning to end. During the planning stages they did a great job listening to our ideas but then expanding upon them given their experience and expertise. Upon completion we were more than pleased with the finished product and it did exceed our expectations. The crew was very professional and extremely neat while the job was in progress. We engaged Mr. Marlinski to put in a patio for us. We didn't want just a square and we wanted it to blend well with the surroundings. It was an area that collected water so he solved the problem with a non-obtrusive drain underneath the stones that runs the width of the patio. We now have a curved edge patio that is beautiful and neat. Water is no longer a problem. I saw a picture of a waterfall with seating on each side and he said he could to that. It is beautiful and is the focal point of the patio. It has soft night lighting and can be controlled by a remote. We had everything done in a timely fashion and he returned a couple times to help us understand how to maintain it. Marlinski Landscaping was hired to provide a "natural" garden on two steep slopes either side of our house which is quite modern. The idea was not to make the planting look architectural but rather, when mature, like it had always been part of the landscape. Recycled stone was used to help hold the soil in place and were "randomly" placed; plants were interspersed throughout. Marlinski's took care to make sure the ground was properly prepared and the correct plants were chosen. Work was done conscientiously and on time/budget. This project was a step away from more traditional landscaping but Marlinski's was willing to step out of its comfort zone, listening to new ideas and getting the job done well. We will contact them again for future needs.

We were extremely happy with the drainage/paver work done by the crew from Marlinski Landscape last summer. They came in, assessed the work that would be needed in our backyard, provided an accurate estimate, and did the job in a friendly, timely manner. We were very happy with the results! Marlinski Landscape and Stone Work did a great job on my patio. I had a trouble area which collected water on top of a 5 yr old patio that had sunk in the middle. They built up the area, put rebar in the base layer for the patio, and worked with me on a more organic shape even though they already had some of it laid. They even put some finishing touches in around the patio like mulch and some rock that weren't on the original estimate. I'm going to have them come back to put in some plants this year!

We have been using Marlinski Landscaping since purchasing our home in 2005. They maintain our property beautifully and have incredible insight for projects that have continued to enhance our property. Our koi pond with a waterfall feature is delightful to sit by with a cup of coffee, cocktail etc any time of day. We will continue to use Marlinski Landscaping for all of our future projects.

Pat Marlinski is from the old school, where you UNDER promise and OVER deliver. We are summer residents in Lakewood, NY, and do not know many of the townspeople, so when our 15-20 year old retaining wall began to fall apart, we didn't have many people to consult about who to hire to replace it. We heard of Pat Marlinski, but knew nothing of his work and reputation, so we were a bit hesitant to quickly commit to a multi-thousand dollar job. However, after quite a bit of back and forth, we finally committed to the work with him. We were definitely very favorably impressed with the job he and his staff did in late October 2014. He and his three young work men removed much of an old wooden tie wall around our parking area and rebuilt it using decorative concrete blocks. The retaining wall was about 3-5 feet high and around 60-70 linear feet long with three 90 degree corners. They used 80 pound wall blocks with a lip on each block to ensure the proper angle as the wall rose above its base. These blocks were fastened together both side by side and top to bottom with a bead of concrete glue. After meticulously preparing the base by digging a trench about 6 to 16 inches deep by two block widths wide; adding a layer of crushed stone and /or gravel, which was well tamped down; then a layer of sand which was tamped and leveled to make sure the blocks in each course of the wall would be precisely level, then the blocks were laid for each course, making sure they were level and aligned perfectly so the wall would have no bulges or indents in each row of blocks. After the wall was laid, Pat and his crew built two flower beds along the edge of the parking area about three feet wide along two sections of the wall. In addition to the retaining wall, he and the crew removed an old cracked deteriorated poured concrete walk all the way from the street to our front door. It was replaced with a wider walk using “random” sized concrete pavers that were quite close in color to the blocks used to build the wall. The walk appeared to be installed just as carefully as the wall and ended up being precisely even with the lawn instead of being sunk below the lawn level like the concrete walk. Though we never discussed it in the negotiations for the job, he and his men smoothed and seeded a few ruts from the delivery of pallets of wall stones in the lawn, he added a few tons of small washed stones that were like the original “paving” of the parking lot to smooth and return the appearance to look far better than it had before the work began. When he and the crew finished the job, we were pleased that not only the wall and walk, but the whole area, looked even better than what we were expecting. During the time the crew were here, Pat worked with them most of the time, not only directing the work but laying stones and fetching materials as needed. His crew were hard working whether he was there or not and always very willing to listen to any of our concerns. They were very polite and neither noisy nor profane. I don't recall that they felt the need to have a loud radio for their entertainment either. Both for the quality of the work, the speed of completing the work and the general overall behavior of the men, we would recommend them wholeheartedly for any sort of landscaping work involving building retaining walls.

Pat and his crew totally transformed our outdated backyard deck into a beautiful stonework patio, we could not be more pleased. Their design capabilities and workmanship produced a very attractive backyard area for us to enjoy our home much more than we have in the past.
