NRD Landscape Design Build

For 15 years I have been building custom homes in the west metro area of Minneapolis. I have many fantastic partners we work with us to bring the best quality and service to our clients. The ONE relationship I have continued to search for is a Landscape Architect and reliable (and affordable) installers. I can proudly say we have ended our decade long search in this regards! Eric happened to call off my job sign one day, as we were building a custom home next door to his former grandparents home and wanted to see what we were doing. This care and thoughtful ness shows throughout NRD's attitude towards its clients and co-partners. It was an absolute pleasure working with NRD on our backyard project, from beginning to end! My husband and I consulted with 4 different landscaping companies as we were pondering the replacement of our deteriorating retaining wall. NRD clearly stood out from the others in their knowledge and professionalism. The proposed design (new retaining wall plus patio and plantings) was creative and sensitive to our needs and wants. The several changes we requested were cheerfully made. The project both started and finished according to the established time-line. The budget was closely adhered to. But, the best part was the work crew. They were extremely courteous (both to us and our neighbors!) and just plain fun to have around. I honestly missed them when the project was done! Entirely to NRD's credit, we now have and are enjoying a backyard that is not only well done, but truly a work of art.

NRD Landscape Design has done three landscape projects for us. They treated each project, regardless of the size, with enthusiasm, professionalism, and timeliness. Eric listened carefully to all of our desires and ideas for the spaces. His plans fulfilled our ideas but added his creativity, ingenuity and expertise to make them much better than we could have ever come up with ourselves. He was also careful to stay within our budget and worked to get the most bang for our buck. Our most recent and and largest project with NRD involved a bluestone and paver patio, a pergola, and landscaping. Eric designed the patio beautifully with great attention to detail in the selection and unique arrangement of the stones; it is truly a showstopper. The crews have always been efficient, friendly, and tidy and all the jobs have been completed in a timely manner. We consider ourselves fortunate to have worked with such a professional, creative, and conscientious company and would highly recommend NRD Landscape Design.

The entire experience from design to completion was seamless. NRD brought a completely new creative and modern look to our landscaping, raising property value and curb appeal. Eric and the team made this project fun and created a space we could not have dreamed existed before working together. Neighbors and strangers drive by taking pictures of the amazing results. Eric and his firm were recommended to us after having a bit of a let down in service from our previous landscape firm. In hind sight I'm glad it happened as we will now use no one else but NRD. They have great ideas, great follow thru and good folks. We have quite a large yard in Minnetonka and Eric help us bring closure to years of work and projects with just the right finishing touch.

We chose NRD after interviewing several other companies. They were incredibly patient as we worked through all the flips and flops of project design, scope and budget. It was great to have a completely turnkey company we could work with that took care of every detail from design to project management to permits to planting. Our objective was to create an inviting back yard space that our entire family could enjoy while maintaining a natural feel. The front yard objective was to significantly improve the curb appeal and create a more maintenance free natural yard. We 3X'd the size of our patio, put in a built in grille and storage and counter space for outside cooking and entertaining; a sport court for the kids; a veggie garden; and accent lighting throughout. In the front, we leveraged several pieces that were in place, but completely redid the edging using a natural stone, which was a great touch. The final touch was completely replacing the irrigation system. Midway through the irrigation project, the irrigation sub was a complete disaster. NRD made it right and brought in a new one that did a fantastic job. This really speaks to NRD's integrity and wanting to deliver a great final product. We have been 100% happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend.

NRD was great to work with from start to finish. Everything about them from the design process to the execution was so well done. When we were looking to hire our landscape company we had certain criteria, 1. Reliable 2. Creative 3. Reasonably priced 4. Great customer service. NRD not only met our expectations but exceeded them.

We were very happy with this company! Very professional, honest, and right on point with the budget. The landscape architect would often come at the end of the day to make sure the place was clean and the plants watered. The crew was professional and fun to have around. Our backyard is now complete and looks beautiful. The design and work were exactly what we were looking for.

The designers at NRD had great ideas and knew how to maximize my space to encompass everything I wanted for my landscape design. My project was larger and required a few phases, even with the complexity of the project, NRD was able to keep everything moving in a timely fashion and the project was under budget when completed. NRD was great to work with, I will be calling them for my next project.

NRD was selected after interviewing several companies for a fairly large project. I selected them because initailly, they were very diligent about getting my needs down on paper for discussion. After that they put together a fair budget and actually stuck to it! The project lasted several months but the budget stayed on course. The project involved hard and soft landscape elements. Eric was there when the crews arrive to direct them with specifics and to make sure that my needs were addressed. Needless to say, the project turned out great and we have been using NRD for the last several years either to focus on other areas around the yard and/or manage our maintenance crew. I would highly recommend their services.

I've been working with NRD Landscaping since 2007. Eric has an amazing ability to create outdoor living spaces with all of the customers ideas in mind. He is friendly, curteous and extremely passionate in his ability to transform yards into customers dream scapes.
