You can not get more professional than Old Farms Landscaping! Bruce and his crew are knowledgable, creative, neat and trustworthy. I have worked with them for almost 25 years, Bruce (and Corey) have worked on 3 of our houses and have done a superb job. We are in Farmington, photos w/ pool are on the website. I would not use anyone else. They are the best!!

We have hired Bruce and OFL twice, for projects in both our front and back yards. Bruce is always responsive to any questions, and stands by his work. He has replaced trees that didn't thrive, and surprised us with "stealth tulips" that magically appeared in the spring. His crew is unbelievably prompt and courteous. We have been using Old Farms L. for many years for a variety of projects and have always been more than pleased with the quality of the results of their work. Not only is the design expertise exceptional ,but the personal blending of what we wanted with the in-depth knowledge of landscape design, tasteful use of existing landscaping combined with the artful eye and knowledge provided by Bruce Unger truly amazing.

Bruce Unger, principal of Old Farms Landscaping, is unquestionably one of the finest landscape architects that I have had the privilege of working with. His ability to think outside of the box, with his asymmetrical designs, will transform your landscaping as if it was a rare jewel. When we renovated our home in 2008, Bruce's plan complimented our style of house in a very "Jeffersonesque" fashion that made the property a beautiful extension of the house. Not only did he choose the most appropriate boxwoods and miniature trees, in conjunction with various flowering plants, Bruce also integrated brick walkways, stone walls, large granite step stones and even placed our lampposts! In 2015 we reached out to Old Farms Landscaping once again to design/build a raised terrace as an extension of our multi-level deck. Again, this transformed our backyard into an absolute sanctuary, not only for our private use, but for fabulous entertaining. Bruce's design, engaging a 90 degree angle, was truly a work of art! We were incredibly pleased with the work performed by Old Farm Landscaping. KNOWLEDGEABLE, professional, courteous, timely, dependable, friendly are a few adjectives that come to mind. Our project included stonework and plantings all of which fit the design of our vintage (1803) home. We have had them back for subsequent jobs and will call them again.

Our experience with Old Farms was outstanding. They are meticulous in their approach and take great pride in their work. We installed front walkways and new trees/shrubs and as work was about to start, asked Bruce if he could help us to design a backyard landscape to fit with a pool that we had decided to put in. Bruce and his team worked with us to modify the project on the fly - doubling the scope of the work and the time needed. For most firms, this would have been a problem but Bruce is a true professional and his team is exceptional. The design was beautiful and the work was beyond our expectations. Each day we'd throw a curve at Bruce and he'd listen and advise and find ways to make it work. We've hired more than a dozen contractors at our home in Northern CT over the years and honestly, this is the nicest most capable group of people we have ever worked with.
