“We have a steep gravel driveway that was causing us problems in the wintertime. First problem: cars would get stuck, spin their wheels and dig muddy ruts, over and over. Second problem: rain would roll down the driveway and gather in our yard, and as it seeped into the ground, our basement would flood. Forrest from Slow Stone came out, assessed the problem and came up with a plan. Digging a large French Drain to divert the water away from the house at the base of our driveway, coupled with excavating the steep and problematic part of our driveway and building it back up with 15 tons of rock and gravel at a more manageable pitch for vehicles. Forrest showed up early every morning and absolutely crushed the job. His timeliness and professionalism was top-notch. There were times when equipment rental went longer than anticipated. Forrest communicated those issues clearly and we were able to complete the project without blowing up the budget.
After heavy use and heavy rain this winter, the driveway is holding strong and the basement is dry.”
