“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU VALUE QUALITY! Ask for Ron! Amazing Project Manager PROJECT: Large front yard renovation. Included new colored concrete driveway with diamond cut, new planters, replace grass with artificial turf, new custom smooth stucco and metal and wood fence with electrical gate. Replace 2 gates and build 2 new ones. Create water feature. Add new electrical outlets. Install pavers. PROS: - Large credible company with amazing resources and full-time staff. NO SUBCONTRACTORS! Everyone worked for Green Advisor Inc. - Fully licensed and backs their work with a warranty and their word. - Very kind and professional staff. Made me feel like part of a family. - Although it's a large company with multiple project managers, the owner, Shai, made it a point to visit the site and ensure everything was going as planned. - Many FINANCING OPTIONS with really low interest rates. - Finished on time. - Project manager could always be contacted. Didn't matter the time. - Always someone on site who spoke English. This was important to me since I was always on site and would want detailed updates throughout. - You don't pay until everything is complete AND you are completely satisfied. No pay as you go scams that some contractors do. - Everyone wore masks and kept their distance when speaking with me. - Brought their own Porta-Potty so none of the workers needed to use my restroom. - Well priced. Great value!”

“I just bought my first house - a definite fixer-upper - and quickly learned how important it is to find someone you can really trust with working on an intimate, personal space like your home. Nancy is that someone. I actually found her on Yelp and thought, "Well, she has five stars... let's see why." She deserves every single one of them. She was fantastic at working with me on the budget, she finished everything exactly when she said she would, and responded to any questions I emailed within hours of me sending them - and I sent A LOT of emails. (Yep, I can be high-maintenance.) She knows plants and taught me a heck of a lot of stuff I didn't know, and she also did a really good job of listening to my own needs - something almost no other contractors have done. The couple times things haven't been quite right - for example when a bougainvillea died after a week - she came back and fixed it immediately. Most important, though, the work she does is spectacular. My front and back yards were a mess of concrete and dead, old plants. That crap is all gone, and in its place is a gorgeous colorful garden with a quaint stone path that runs from one end to another. It's like something out of a fairytale, and I enjoy walking through it every single night when I get home from the office. At first I was thinking of trying to landscape this project myself - after all, just a few plants, right? But it's so, so much more complicated than that. Now that it's done, there's not a day goes by that I'm not thrilled I hired Nancy to make my gardening dreams come true.”

“I cannot believe how fortunate to have found Katrina with Cat In A Hammock to design our front yard. Katrina listen to what I wanted and designed the perfect yard that's beautiful, inviting and within my budget. The project took almost two weeks, it would have been faster if it didn't rain. “We moved from out of state and purchased a brand new home near the beach. Having to landscape the front and backyard of our new home seemed overwhelming. We fortunately met Ryan and his team of professionals. They designed our landscaping beyond our expectations, doubling the size of our balcony to achieve better ocean views for entertaining and including tons of natural stone and incredible design elements throughout. Ryan did everything he promised to and more. We were so excited about our new yard and working with Altera that we had them add a swimming pool, spa, and fire pit immediately after the job was complete. One thing that stands out in my mind was we had an issue with the Home Owners Association not allowing us to have access from the rear of our property that was needed to build the pool and Ryan went as far as getting his lawyer involved and handled every detail needed, without any cost to us. Ryan is honest, dependable, professional, dedicated, a perfectionist, always returns our calls and personally comes out himself to check any issues that arise even months after the job was complete. He helped us with warranty issues on the pool, as well. Best landscape company out there. We would definitely recommend him to anyone.”
