Our best wishes for a solution or relation fell on deaf ears and to no avail. Their Association approved their drawing the very first time it was submitted. After trying to collect for a change order work completion, we were met with trying to renegotiate the price.
We take our job very serious. This kind of disrespectfullness was echoed by our subcontractors who told us that the homeowner was extremely difficult to work with. Awkward to say the least. Respect is the basis for all business. There is a written document called a contract where it specifically states the work to be executed and then paid for. ANY deviation to this contract generates a change called a "change order", which is agreed upon by the contractor and the homeowner for a said job and a set price.
We are not accustomed to renegotiating the terms of the contract after it has been signed and agreed to including any guarantees after the contract has been signed. Coming to terms is difficult. The time for negotiating and guarantees is PRIOR to signing the contract. Not after.
This job has been completed and to date we still have not received final payment. I know of no one who will work without being paid,
