Featured Reviews for Custom Fire Pit Companies in San Anselmo

Westcoast Hardscape
Custom Fire Pit Companies in San Anselmo
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 27, 2023
“Westcoast Hardscape did an amazing job turning our backyard into a modern, usable space to enjoy in the summer and colder Bay Area days. We worked closely with Mike Lopez the owner to make our vision come to life. He listened to all our requests, maintained great communication throughout the project, gave us different options for materials, savings and was very accommodating. His team was punctual, friendly, fast and efficient. Our yard is now the hangout spot for our neighbors and friends. We have a great space for us to enjoy outdoor meals, a safe space where our son can play, our dogs can run around in and we can enjoy a drink and cozy up by the fire pit. Overall it was a great experience working with the Westcoast Hardscape team from the planing to execution. We'll definitely be working with them in the future as we expand our backyard plans and upgrade the front yard.”
Gardens & Gables
Custom Fire Pit Companies in San Anselmo
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 22, 2016
“I worked with Kathleen Slattery from Gardens and Gables after seeing a finished project at my neighbor's house. I loved her design concept and plant choices which made the garden flow beautifully. Many areas of focus were considered. Especially important to me was her choice of low maintenance drought resistant plants. Her form, texture and color choices for year-round beauty was important to me as well. I hired Kathleen for a design plan which my husband and I are happy with and we are now looking forward to getting to work on our yard this year! Looking forward to my new garden/yard!!”
Mariposa Gardening & Design Cooperative, Inc.
Custom Fire Pit Companies in San Anselmo
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 6, 2014
“We hired Mariposa to take on landscaping for our whole property. We had purchased a house and were in the process of completely gutting and rebuilding it. We decided to do the same with all of the landscaping. We had some general preferences on plant selection but needed someone who could really come up with a creative vision for the site. Andrea's knowledge and skill were apparent the first time we reviewed the designs she came up with. The actual work included sheet mulching, all the planting, a new irrigation system for front and back, a permeable paver driveway, stone paths, a couple of stone landings, a fire pit with a beautiful stacked stone bench, and stone orb Andrea crafted from leftovers on site. The quality of work was excellent and the crew was efficient and professional. In the end we really couldn't be happier with how things turned out.”

Landscaper FAQs
The duration of a custom fire pit project varies depending on its complexity and the materials used but typically ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks. The process includes consultation, design approval, excavation (if necessary), installation, and finishing touches. Companies should provide a project timeline upfront, factoring in weather conditions and material availability.
Materials like stone, brick, and metal are popular for their durability and aesthetic versatility. Eco-friendly and gas-powered fire pits are trends gaining momentum for their convenience and lower environmental impact. In terms of design, thereʼs a movement towards sleek, minimalist fire pits that blend seamlessly with outdoor living spaces. Custom Fire Pit Companies should offer a wide range of options and stay informed on the latest trends.
Before the project begins, clear the area where the fire pit will be located, and discuss any specific visions or requirements you have with the company. Check local fire codes and HOA regulations to ensure compliance. Preparing a budget and understanding the full scope of work involved will also help manage expectations and avoid surprises.
Challenges may include delays due to weather, unexpected underground utilities, or material shortages. A reputable company will communicate these issues promptly and work to find solutions, keeping the project on track. Homeowners should be flexible and maintain open communication with the contractor to address challenges as they arise.
In many cases, permits may be required depending on the size, type, and location of the fire pit. Custom Fire Pit Companies are knowledgeable about the local regulations and can handle the permit application process for you. They ensure that all work is compliant with local fire codes and building regulations, providing peace of mind that your fire pit is both safe and legal.
To ensure your fire pit is environmentally friendly, consider options like natural gas or propane, which produce less pollution compared to wood-burning fire pits. Ask your company about sustainable materials and designs that minimize environmental impact. Proper maintenance and understanding of how to use your fire pit efficiently can also contribute to its eco-friendliness.
