“It's almost 18 months since project completion and we could not be happier with the out come and with Monarca! Project was a total re-landscape, every square inch of the old yard was removed and completely replaced. New everything! Hillside retaining walls, privacy walls and outdoor kitchen. Paver patio, walkways and driveway. A fire pit, putting green and 14X16 heated gazebo. All new low-flow irrigation and landscape lighting with wireless controls. All new woodlands plantings with the exception of 2 trees that survived and are flourishing. It turned out absolutely amazing! Alex and the team worked with our plans and improved on them as we went. We discussed and they rolled with and documented all our changes. Their sub-contractors were fabulous to work with as well. Alex also dealt with the city on all our plans, permits and approvals. A very professional organization that is very easy to work with! We highly recommend Alex, Rodrigo and the entire Monarca team!”

I love the aesthetic of their designs and they make sure to incorporate your feedback as well. I let them run wild and was impressed with the results. I could not be happier. My project consisted of irrigation revamp, installing a dry creek connected to the rain gutters, a couple of tree installs, and all with the native California landscape goal in mind. In every aspect of the project they went above and beyond the scope of the contract in tiny ways. They are truly a customer-oriented team. “I've worked with many different home contractors over the years and Richard Lusk is one the very best! My project was to redo the front of my house with all new landscaping, irrigation, turf, natural stone walkway, driveway, custom designed fence with matching rails on the balcony of the second story, plus exterior lighting. Richard worked up drawings based on our feedback, suggested edits, and guided us through the design process. After we locked on a final design, he submitted our plans to our HOA and the City of Newport Beach and received approval. After one month, the project was 99% complete and it looked fantastic! The final open item was to paint the new fence. We asked Richard to hold off until we finalized the exterior color of the house, which also needed updating. The house painter was backed up for 2.5 months so Richard moved on to other projects as we waited. Three months later, Richard had been paid in full and was working other jobs, his team came back, painted the fence, replaced a few plants that were in distress, and adjusted the irrigation. You can trust Richard to do the right thing AND great work! Richard was easy to work with, fast, efficient, and communicative.”
