“Pacific Pond & Waterfall (Jim Boyle) designed, built and installed my 4 level waterfall, water garden and koi pond in 1999. Since I lived in the Sierra's at the time (Lake Tahoe), I couldn't find a pond designer/builder who was willing to work through the difficult issues of my front yard that included extremely steep terrain, lava rock and granite. I also had concerns about the pond wintering over, pipes freezing and collapsing, and wall cave-ins. Jim's extensive knowledge in natural waterflow design allowed him to carve the stream, waterfalls, upper pond and lower pond into the landscape as if it had been there for 1,000 years! The rock work was incredible! The pitch of each waterfall was different yet they all sounded harmonious. Once the project was complete, it was hard to believe that this water feature was made with human hands. Most important, Jim took great care in designing a winter drain-down and sealing system whereby all the plumbing was isolated and protected from the cold winter. Startup in the spring each year was made easy by Jim's innovative hydraulic design and pump system. In the 14 years that have passed since my project, I've seen some of Jim's other projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is amazing! No two projects are the same. Each and every water feature, waterfall, and pond that he has designed and built looks like nature had placed it within its environment. I give Jim Boyle and Pacific Pond & Waterfall my highest recommendations for anyone looking to add a koi pond, water garden and/or waterfalls to their landscape plan.
