Featured Reviews for Custom Fire Pit Companies in Urbandale

Distinctive Landscapes
Custom Fire Pit Companies in Urbandale
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 3, 2020
“Distinctive Landscapes provided excellent professional service completing a patio with a water tiling project for my home. The earth tone cement stone patio looks superb with the color of the home. The stone is secured with a frame perimeter and cement sealant between the block-shaped tiles. The underground tiling appears well designed providing gravitational water flow away from the back of the home to the sloped sides of the property. A surface drain was added to capture water to prevent water pooling, which could eventually enter the lower level of the home during heavy rainfall conditions. The project was thoughtfully planned by Ryan Kinart and executed by Justin the foreman and his crew. The price estimate was competitive and accurate for payment. I would highly recommend Distinctive Landscapes for landscaping, patio, and drainage projects.”

“Thank you - great work; timely, professional, & priced very fairly. We installed a fireplace, seating/brick wall, lighting, tiling, edgers/mulch, & a rain barrel. Would use again for additional projects.”
Solid Rock Landscaping LLC
Custom Fire Pit Companies in Urbandale
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMay 11, 2016
“We loved the paver sidewalk Solid Rock put in between our home and detached garage, we hired them again for a larger patio/firepit and raised gardens project. Chris does beautiful landscape design work, and actually listened to me/us! After having a not so pleasant experience with another higher end landscaper (with an attitude problem) in the area, who was too busy to do everything I wanted done, I found Solid Rock on Angie's list. Travis, one of the team leaders and one of the hardest working guys I've ever seen, is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I love these guys and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great work for a fair price.”

Landscaper FAQs
The duration of a custom fire pit project varies depending on its complexity and the materials used but typically ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks. The process includes consultation, design approval, excavation (if necessary), installation, and finishing touches. Companies should provide a project timeline upfront, factoring in weather conditions and material availability.
Materials like stone, brick, and metal are popular for their durability and aesthetic versatility. Eco-friendly and gas-powered fire pits are trends gaining momentum for their convenience and lower environmental impact. In terms of design, thereʼs a movement towards sleek, minimalist fire pits that blend seamlessly with outdoor living spaces. Custom Fire Pit Companies should offer a wide range of options and stay informed on the latest trends.
Before the project begins, clear the area where the fire pit will be located, and discuss any specific visions or requirements you have with the company. Check local fire codes and HOA regulations to ensure compliance. Preparing a budget and understanding the full scope of work involved will also help manage expectations and avoid surprises.
Challenges may include delays due to weather, unexpected underground utilities, or material shortages. A reputable company will communicate these issues promptly and work to find solutions, keeping the project on track. Homeowners should be flexible and maintain open communication with the contractor to address challenges as they arise.
In many cases, permits may be required depending on the size, type, and location of the fire pit. Custom Fire Pit Companies are knowledgeable about the local regulations and can handle the permit application process for you. They ensure that all work is compliant with local fire codes and building regulations, providing peace of mind that your fire pit is both safe and legal.
To ensure your fire pit is environmentally friendly, consider options like natural gas or propane, which produce less pollution compared to wood-burning fire pits. Ask your company about sustainable materials and designs that minimize environmental impact. Proper maintenance and understanding of how to use your fire pit efficiently can also contribute to its eco-friendliness.
