Corry is the creative leader in his field. I’ve worked with him on a number of projects and am constantly impressed with his eye for detail, cutting edge designs, value engineering, and the ability to get the hard work done for his customers when other designers or management consultants would shrink back. No project is too daunting for Corry, and all of his work stands out from the crowd. His homes are the timeless ones we’ll be seeing in magazines someday, not the ones that will need a remodel 10 years from now. Use Corry while you can still afford him. Because his work is that special.

We worked with Mark and South Whidbey Woodworks to build our dream bathroom. Mark was referred to us by a friend and we couldn’t be more thankful for the referral. Mark and His team took the time to understand our vision, were diligent and professional, and delivered superb quality in the remodeling of our bathroom. On top of that, mark has been very responsive on any inquiries or concerns we have had since. Not only did we get an amazing bathroom, but we built a relationship we will use every chance we get!

Since 2009 I have I have hired Kristine Tyler of Tree Frog Design to do several remodeling projects, and have been incredibly pleased with the results every time. She took an early ‘70s master bathroom that was cramped and dark, and turned it into an open, light, and gorgeous space. Originally dark wood divided it into a short hallway, a narrow counter area, and a separate water closet. She turned it into a single room with glass-enclosed shower, plenty of floor space, both natural and electric lighting (including a gorgeous crystal pendant lamp), and amazing accent tiles painted with early balloons. She helped us select both cabinets and countertop. Our guest bathroom was not changed structurally, but now is thoroughly updated and vastly improved. The floor is a classic black and white checkerboard, the bath area done in handmade, light blue-gray tiles, with sculpted accent tiles in the form of sea creatures both in the bath and along the countertop. She did color consultation on the entire house, replacing white walls with a cheerful light yellow, and the cheap, dark, hollow doors with attractive three-panel solid models in white. She consulted on flooring, and handled the design of built-in bookcases that get oohs and ahhs from our visitors (as well as being functional). In addition to working with us on the design, she worked directly with the contractors and this helped the process work more smoothly than in previous projects. Some photos from her work for us appear in her online portfolio.

We just completed a major gut-and-remodel of the basement in our 1919 house, the biggest construction project we've yet undertaken. When we started, we had a lot of ideas for how we thought the space should be organized. A friend recommended Jeff at Board & Vellum and he really stood out among the group of professionals we interviewed for our project. Jeff took every idea we had and made it infinitely better, giving us options we would never have thought of on our own. Jeff brings an ideal mix of creativity, pragmatism, attention to detail, high standards, and fun to his work. He had great respect for not only how we live and work in our home, but for our budget and our time. He helped us choose a great contractor and guided us through a dizzying number of steps from start to finish. Two other team members at Board & Vellum, Ryan and Matthew, proved to be indispensable when we needed additional help in a pinch. Our basement is an amazing space now, with modern conveniences complemented by just the right details to fit the age of the house. We are now completely sold on the value of design when undertaking any remodeling project. We will certainly use Board & Vellum again and will continue to recommend them to everyone we know. Thanks, Jeff!

I have had Mac Renovations do several major projects on my house over the past four years, all of which have been of exceptional quality. The first big one was turning my unfinished basement into a two bedroom unit for my father, including kitchen and bathroom. They got it done on time and on budget. Mac has also overseen the painting of the exterior of my house, including managing several repairs needed during the painting process. Mac oversaw the new roof placed on my house as well, including undertaking repairs needed during the roofing process. In addition to these bigger projects, they've also handled some smaller jobs, such as my house's skylights, which started to show small signs of leaks after 20 years. They had someone here to measure and order the new skylights within hours, and they were installed within a week. They've also built exterior sheds on my property that are safe, secure and solid. I generally have left town during my renovation projects, and I have complete confidence that Mac will get my job done while I'm away. I trust them 100% with what is by far my greatest asset, my house.

Gary and his team did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen and living room. They had done a similar job for a friend of ours and their space remodel was so beautiful we decided to use Potter Construction for ours. The team was amazingly knowledgable, helpful in design, tailored their presentations to our request for paring down options to only the most relevant, and our space came out beautifully. Their team was also very pleasant to have in our home for 3 months, a definite plus. Our project required major structural changes in our home and I was always confident that everything was completed to code in the safest and most beautiful manner. HIghly recommend!

I highly recommend Alex Tsymbalyuk from Bolt Construction for any home remodeling project especially when trying to make more efficient use of the space in an older house. Alex helped us do just that with so many smart ideas. First, his team designed a completely new, modern master bathroom and a large walk-in closet in an under utilized area of the bedroom. Our original bathroom and closet were both so tiny so we are very thankful for their design skills and vision in this space. Picking out the tiles, cabinets, and fixtures was not easy for me but the team narrowed down the options for us and made it less time-consuming and less stressful. They also conquered a challenging basement remodel where we wanted to remove textured walls and ceilings and add recessed lights to make the space more usable. Alex's team also came up with innovative techniques to make this happen and added closet and an office and now our basement is a much-used extension of our house and not a storage area. Alex and his team were all great to work with and we are still so happy with all the updates years later! Highly recommended!

In my capacity as a kitchen and bath designer, I often have the opportunity to supply my clients with names of contractors to interview. I have worked with April Bettinger of Nip Tuck Remodeling many times. We recently finished a kitchen expansion and remodel late in 2012 that turned out beautifully. I like working with Nip Tuck because the company has an extremely high level of customer service and satisfaction. April’s construction teams are easy to work with and communicate seamlessly with my company, Provanti Designs, whenever there is a design or material installation question. This is so helpful for homeowners who want to stay on time and on budget. Nip Tuck establishes a thorough quote upfront that extensively covers the entire remodel project so that there are no surprises with the budget/quote as work progresses. And best of all, April develops a detailed project calendar that specifies which trades are doing what work on a daily basis along with stated weekly construction goals. Nip Tuck finishes their projects on time, with quality work and satisfied homeowners. And that is why I tell my design clients that they need to do themselves a favor and talk with April Bettinger of Nip Tuck Remodeling about their remodel project.

We found J and C Contractors while considering a tile job in two bathrooms. They were recommended by the tile supplier and the work they did was very well done. We were very happy with the design and they did such a good job, we extended our plans to include not only re-doing the floor in the other bathroom, but remodeling the other bathroom also. They arranged for glass doors, which completed the look and the price for this was below the estimates given by vendors that I had talked with on my own. J and C Contractors were versatile and did a good job with the tiling, the plumbing and the lighting. They did a good job with the baseboards in putting a "bullnose" edge on the tile. They also suggested we change the attic access to a hallway location and installed a ladder opening for us, which we hadn't considered. If someone were considering using J and C Contractors, I would highly recommend them. I know I will use their services myself in the future.
