Elevation Design creates unique light fixtures, revealing the craftsmanship in design and is known for its functional and unique look, cutting a new path in lighting. Our uniqueness lies in the expert craftsmanship. Collaboration between design and fabrication is the hallmark of Elevation’s hand-made fixtures and sets our fixtures apart. Elevation fills a need in its marketplace for fresh designs made well. Elevation Design’s founder Steven Chiurco has gained recognition over the past 10 years as the owner and Design Director of Steel Geisha Designs; known for their custom-made architectural ornamental steel products. Steven’s experience designing custom light fixtures for Steel Geisha provided the opportunity to work with many styles and types of materials. Elevation Design is the result of Steven’s passion for lighting design and master fabricator, Ford Cook's desire to create something truly unique and hand made. Elevation’s goal is to create light fixtures in a way that really exposes the level of craftsmanship we produce in our products. Our small team of fabricators and designers purposely leave a semi-raw look to bring the eye to the small details like the quality of a perfectly executed weld bead and the beautiful coloring that naturally occurs. We do this by using metals that have many natural variations in color and texture. We make those elements part of the beauty and durability that is designed into every one of our fixtures. We design with pride, a human brain and human hands, very talented human hands.
