We came across Ilan El lighting and design when we were looking for lighting ideas for our new home. We liked that his lighting was different and unique to what we had seen. We also loved that his pieces are handmade using gorgeous fabric and wiring to match. We were able to deal with Ilan directly which made our experience personal and easy. I was looking for something unique to bring some drama and interest to a contemporary open concept kitchen/living/dining room. I had been to every lighting store in Auckland but could not find anything to suit. The lighting I found was all really boring and looked the same in every store. I found Ilanel online. They created three pendant lights for me that instantly improved the look of the space. The lights were beautifully made and look amazing. We had some issues with the shipper and the customs/duty at our end but that was not their fault. However they were very responsive and very helpful any time we contacted them throughout the process.

I contacted Ilan after seeing one of his designs here on Houzz. I felt so lucky that he was only 2 hours away, considering his pieces are sold around the world. I commissioned him to produce the "heavy rain" chandelier for my entry and later the "black rain" for above the dining table. They are probably my 2 favourite elements in my new home. Although more expensive than I budgeted for, I believe they were worth the investment as they are a wow factor without being over the top. They were produced in a timely manner and couriered to my home. The electrician found it easy to install once he wrapped his head around the design. I have no regrets with my choice and would recommend Ilan if you are after something special.

I was looking for a chandelier for a beautiful new house being built for me. I saw the "Rain" chandelier on the Houzz website and it was the only one for me. Although I was surprised it was designed and made in Australia, ordering it was a breeze. It arrived in perfect condition and is magnificent in my dining room. It is the first thing you see when you enter the house. Having been an artist all of my life, I am so proud of it's glimmering beauty. It is more than stunning. ilanel designed and custom made a range of balloon pendant lights for our restaurant renovation at Hog's Australia Steakhouse Knox. They delivered a quality finished product in a very short and tight time frame. I would highly recommend their services.

For the Save the Children Illumination Gala 2016 we used "heavy rain light drops" which adorned the stage to create a beautiful backdrop for our host, honorees, entertainment and presenters. The stage looked incredible and Ilanel was a pleasure to work with us in helping to create this vision within our budget.

We contacted ilanel for the 'rain cloud light fixture' since our designers and clients were in love with this piece, We received quick and friendly customer service. We were hesitant to purchase since we are over in Canada but ilan made things so easy. and even shipped us new parts very quickly when we had a technical difficulty onsite (due to our installers, not the product).

I can't describe how incredible our light from ilanel looks in our space. It is build to perfection and is the topic of conversation at all our dinner parties. Wonderful staff and business.
