Eric Ashbaugh is the owner of Specialty Landscape Services, LLC. Eric is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Eric has also gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in Landscape Design and Construction through careers in retail nursery managements, Greenhouse production and Tree Farm production, Site-Construction Manager in '97-'99 for 3 million dollar landscape and irrigation project, as well as managing the grounds of both commercial and residential sites like yours. The origins of Specialty Landscape Services, LLC began in the 1990s, when people who admired his work as a site caretaker, would hire him to create designs as well as to install those designs for their home landscapes. His enjoyment in getting to know his clients and creating beauty in their landscapes led him to form his own company, now known as Specialty Landscape. Eric also was invited to study in Higashimurayama, Japan with a group of Japanese landscape artists learning their gardening techniques. Eric continues keeping current in his field and has his state certification in backflow testing and is a state licensed commercial applicator for Ornamental Pest Control. He serves his community as a member of the Independence Planning Commission. He previously served as Chair of the City of Independence Parks Board for 12 years.
