Staci’s artistry, expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail is extraordinary. Perhaps even more important, her kindness and generosity of spirit make it a total and complete pleasure to work with her! I met Staci in 2003 when I moved into a large loft space in Chelsea with my husband, complete with memorably awful track lighting. Not only was the space itself going to be difficult to design lighting for, the job was complicated even more by the fact that I am visually impaired and need very specific lighting in order to comfortably navigate a space. In other words, we wanted it to look great and also work for my special needs. Staci was a breath of fresh air from the moment we met. She was confident she could design the perfect lighting, knew what fixtures would work, and translated our needs and anxiety into an amazing outcome! Throughout the years we have continued to work with Staci for any lighting needs. She did the lighting design for our outdoor patio space when we moved to an apartment on the UWS, and it is truly magical to be out there at night now. We believe she is a real artist at heart, and her inherent taste and style are one of a kind! There is no job too big or small, indoor or outdoor, that Staci can't bring to beautiful fruition! It's 17 years later from when we first met and we would recommend Staci enthusiastically! Staci helped transform our dark apartment into a happy, luminous home. She’s incredibly transparent efficient to work with, handles issues as they come up so as to not delay the overall plan, and importantly stays in budget. I can't recommend Staci enough. We sat for years in poorly-lit rooms. Staci came in and in three short visits a) recommended what we should do within our budget; b) brought in lighting fixtures so we could see what they really looked like, lit, before committing; and c) coordinated installation with exceptional electricians. Our experience with Staci was just about perfect & our living room/hallway lighting is now better than we ever imagined. Once we contacted her, we were able to arrange an in home consult within the next few days. The cost of this was minimal, especially since she came fully prepared and (as she said she would) talked fast and gave specific information that we found extremely helpful & relevant. She immediately sized up our needs, explained the benefits of LED fixtures and sconces, worked with us to perfectly place them to highlight our rooms and then came back with the electrician to both have us look at options and to organize the ordering & installation. She ordered all fixtures and ensured their delivery on time. She then made herself available to the electricians whenever they had any questions about placement or ideas, and she was in constant contact with us to ensure that we felt supported and involved in the process. As a result, the work went smoothly and efficiently and was done within days, well before the upcoming holidays. Since we ensured that the electricians were coordinating with our painter, the rest of the job was finished in days and we are now living with new, well lit, lovely spaces. I found Staci Ruiz when I needed to replace the halogen "high hats" in my one-bedroom apartment. Thinking I could do this on my own, I went to Home Depot to simply pick out some LED lights. What I found was way too many types (colors, sizes, etc.) of LED lights to be comfortable that I would be able to select the right lighting on my own. In comes a genius -- STACI! She knew all the latest manufacturers, sizes, colors, temperatures to transform my nice one-bedroom into a Architectural Digest masterpiece. She helped me with indirect light and accent lighting for art, which transformed my apartment into something very special. In addition to her amazing eye for what works in a given space and command of how lighting can change and affect the mood of a space, she is cost conscious and has a no B.S. style that makes you feel like you are getting every bit of value for every dollar you spend on her services. Her coordination with the electricians is seamless. I will never install another light without her advice!

She has a very clear process, that provides a focused path for getting from A to B. She brings terrific insight into lighting solutions and fixtures that meet your style, but also appreciates the importance of considering options.
