“They have a fine collection of traditional to very contemporary fixtures, as well as table lamps and very importantly, lamp shades. Previously I had bought fixtures that I was well pleased with, but this winter I was desperate for a pair of replacement shades. Happily she took the time to place the lamp that I brought in, one of a pair needing shades, on a table that was the same height as the side tables at home to ensure that when I got them home, they would look perfect. They did. Their prices were better than for the same shades in Boston and in the Bowery in NYC, plus they had multiples of all their shades which I hadn't found at a lamp store in Boston. So shop locally and be pleased by their old fashion service, and exceptional stock to choose from in all price ranges while receiving solid advice from a knowledgeable lighting specialist.”

“We are in the process of doing a complete remodel of our home. This will include replacement of all attached lighting, living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. We are also looking at what are options are for the recessed lighting. We've been everywhere, from the big box home improvement stores (high-end design capacity is not in their repertoire), and design centers (I'd like to have some money to pay the mortgage after the remodel). We met Rich Whitney at Bulbs and Lamps. He is a highly effective lighting consultant that can pull together a comprehensive plan for what you really want, and can afford. He's awesome!!”
