Bevolo Gas and Electric Lights began in the French Quarter in 1945 when Andrew Bevolo, Sr. revolutionized the production of gas lamps. Utilizing a hand riveting technique rather than making brittle soldered joints, he created sustainable gas lights. Bevolo Sr. honed his skills while working for historic manufacturing companies including Ford, Sikorsky and Higgins. His master craftsmanship and artistic style paired up with the tales of renowned architect A. Hays Town to create what would become known as the French Quarter Lamp. Try taking a step through the old French Quarter without catching a glimpse of this now iconic copper lamp, and you'll soon find that it simply can't be done.

Baton Rouge locals, Adam and Maryjo Ostrowe established the lighting showroom in 2010. As they began searching for lighting options for their own renovation, they were challenged with finding unique lighting. This void was the catalyst to opening their own lighting showroom. Already owners of Cajun Electric, an electrical contracting firm, the Ostrowes felt providing lighting fixtures was a natural extension of their business. All fixtures in the showroom are personally selected by Maryjo and her showroom manager, Bridget Tate. Here you will find unique lighting in a variety of styles and finishes that will define your space with your own personal style. At 1500 Government Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana you will find both the electrical contracting firm and the lighting showroom under one roof. The lighting showroom is showcased beautifully downstairs, while Adam manages the electrical business on the second floor. From selection to installation we offer personal, friendly, and professional service.

We are not just another online lantern dealer – selling lights that other people build. We build our own gas lanterns by hand, in our shop, with craftsmen who have years of experience creating these copper works of art. As native residents of New Orleans we understand the look and feel of our historic city. We use this experience to design and build the finest New Orleans style gas lanterns you will find anywhere. Our designs reflect the broad diversity of this region as well as the many influences of the people that live here. You see these styles in the many different types of lanterns we build from scratch in our workshop. As a manufacturer we are continually adding new styles of lanterns as well as building custom lanterns for our clients and friends who have something special in mind. The style and type of lantern we can build is limited only by your imagination so please contact us if you have something unique in mind – we can build it.

From a relationship that started in a cab in Dallas, January 2009, a new partnership came to fruition in the fall of 2016. Joining forces are Elstead Lighting from the UK and Flambeau Lighting of New Orleans, to create a new business “Lucas + McKearn”. As the name suggests, the partners are Joe McKearn, who has been the well renowned leader at Flambeau Lighting of New Orleans and Jonathan & Deborah Lucas, the British husband and wife team that run their near 50 year old lighting fixture manufacturing and design company from the country village of Alton in the South of England. Our goal is to Combine art and design with intriguing function. The designers at Lucas + McKearn (Flambeau, Gilded Nola, and Elstead) have created a stunning collection of lumineres. Flambeau showcases the works of renowned New Orleans designers Paul Gruer and Elaine Gleason, as well as Baton Rouge sculptor, Benjamin Burts. Each designer and artist has united sophisticated forms and shapes with distressed finishes of gold and silver patinas to create 21st Century antiques. With meticulous attention to detail and quality manufacturing, Flambeau's table lamps, chandeliers, pendants and sconces will add a touch of intrigue and whimsy to any room. Often, Flambeau Lighting's designs become "the conversation piece" in the most distinctive interior environments.

Manhattan Project Design Shop is a Philadelphia-based lighting and design company founded in New York City in 2011. We design and manufacture a curated selection of industrial and custom lighting fixtures and provide design and interior project management services. Founder and designer, Dennis Murphy, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Cooper Union School of Architecture before working in public-sector design as a liaison at the New York City Department of Design and Construction. Our first lighting designs were the result of necessity, illuminating a north Brooklyn apartment that didn't have a single light socket. We follow Andy Warhol's maxim "making money is art, and working is art, and good business is the best art."
