We create sustainable, drought-tolerant landscape design, exterior design and outdoor spaces. Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design / Conscious Living Landscapes is concerned with enticing good health, peace and prosperity through landscape connectivity. We do this with the use of native habitat design, microclimate-appropriate low water plants, exciting architectural structures and sustainable methods and materials. We excel at concept-driven experiential garden design. Thought-provoking art, and interactive design components are often included in our projects because adding art can help evoke deeper states of connection within a landscape space. Our clients are generally characterized as people that take action toward making the world a better place, and those that share sophisticated design sensibilities. Ketti, as past professor of art, particularly enjoys working collaboratively when clients have time for it and the spark of enthusiasm that comes with client design contributions. We know how to make small spaces seem much larger, how to tame slopes, how to achieve privacy in dense living communities, how to reduce water run-off, how to design beautiful structures and how to create therapeutic multi-use spaces. We love designing playscapes for all ages and employing cutting-edge green technologies. Our projects range from intimate meditation gardens to large public art landscapes. The scope of our detailed design is expansive and includes color palette development, unique plant palette combinations, exotic plant sourcing, tile design layouts, furniture design and much more. We specialize in plant and stone sourcing, on-site project art direction, and design consulting. Ketti is skilled at art directing heavy equipment operators in sculpting the terrain and siting boulders and plants. Our projects are typically installed with a team of our licensed contractor affiliates. Our capabilities and interests include landscape and exterior design, and public and private art for resorts, hotels, tourism, wellness facilities or other inventive opportunities domestically or internationally.

Ecocentrix was founded on the fundamental premise that - the quality of the experience and function of landscapes is achieved by understanding inherently "what is" and "what is wanting", and that quality of life is a reflection of the quality of the landscape. It has remained our charge to maintain a keen understanding of our client’s individual and collective interests and lead each project with an evolved vision for how these may manifest within. The firm’s work is rooted in investigations of residential estate and resort style living. Our clients are characterized by their culturally rich backgrounds and sophisticated design tastes, ranging from traditional to contemporary, and whose personal lifestyles and histories include a diverse range of travel and worldly explorations. This has availed us the opportunity for continued studies in the area of luxury living, and to enjoy work internationally. Whether residential resort or resort hotel, our approach to site planning and amenity design bears a similar thread. We artfully interact with nature by thoughtfully manipulating natural and constructed form, recognizing that the art of landscape is in the interaction of human and non-human nature. It is in this way that we may accentuate and amplify space. Our body of work exemplifies great stylistic range and restraint produced with consistently high quality. Our projects are immediately mood altering, celebrating the sensual and tactile temperament that is the fabric of landscape. Our design creates the ground for celebrating the cycles of all life, and is the foundation of regional identities enveloping cultural distinctions. It reinforces what is powerful and enhances what is weak. Ecocentrix endeavors to “Enrich Life Through Design”.

Barefoot Landscape has been proudly working with clients around LA since 1999. Pia Dominguez’s passion for landscape design and architecture stems from her love to learn about plants. Her goal is to beautify homes and businesses, and make water efficient gardens through the use of organic, native landscapes. The most satisfying part of each project is the joy that clients experience because of their gardens—they love the way it looks and can now enjoy being outside. Many of Pia’s clients work in the movie industry and now enjoy writing in their completed gardens that help inspire their creativity. Some homeowners love their garden so much they have picked up gardening! As often requested by clients, Pia enjoys returning seasonally to completed projects to incorporate detailed seasonal touches. Pia finds happiness in creating a garden that her clients love and enjoy. As part of the planning process, she goes to the site and carefully listens to the clients' wishes for their outdoor space. Sometimes they have no idea what they want, except that they want it to be beautiful! No matter where they are in their project planning, Pia gets creative and finds solutions—if they want a patio, a bbq, a play area for the children, she brings ideas and inspiration to the design!

The Landscape you envision becomes a reality with inspired original design. Our successful designs come from our ability to analyze your location, and implement your intentions for the space. We are not well-suited for clients looking for piecemeal landscape design work versus redesigning the full garden space nor if you already have a very detailed vision of what you want for your space. VALUES: Carl Balton + Associates is dedicated to uniting our clients' needs with a clear and creative vision for the unique places they inhabit. Our goal is to create landscapes that people love. Our designs have renewed the environmental integrity and transformed the quality of a wide range of residential and commercial spaces. We have extensive experience working from Master Planning through realization and beyond. We believe that if the solution is right, it will enhance the environment and be beautiful, people will use it, and it will endure. WORKING WITH CLIENTS: Every physical space is unique. We work closely with clients to understand their sites and the fabric - social and environmental - in which they are woven. We do not impose a program or a signature style. Designs emerge out of the intensive process of re-imagining place and use. We are well versed in responding to concerns, anticipating challenges, and accomplishing what we envision together. HOW WE WORK TOGETHER: We marry accountability and accessibility and this makes it easier for clients to get attention and information. We believe that the better the input from our clients, the better the solution. It also means that there is more than one creative idea and the contest of ideas produces better designs. Carl settled in Los Angeles over 25 years ago after moving from the East Coast. With a B.S. in Microbiology and an M.B.A. in Finance Carl has taken a rather circuitous route to Landscape Design. Although seemingly unrelated, the benefits of studying Biology and Business, and understanding how each can inform the other within the scope of a project, create a perfect harmony between the spontaneity of nature and the structure of planning. He continues studies at the UCLA Extension-Landscape Architecture Program and City of Santa Monica Sustainable Landscape Design Series for Professionals. Carl comes to a project with a working understanding of the complete home renovation process as well as all phases of Landscape Design.
