I am a writer and editor living in New York City. I've worked at most of the major publishing companies, from Time Inc. to Meredith to Hearst to Disney and also for startups like iVillage, The Knot, Brit +Co, and YourTango—in jobs ranging from editor to COO. Renovation and interior design are my hobbies. I've renovated every home I've lived in—most recently a mid-century apartment in NYC. You can catch me at my blog Renov8or.

Union Adorn is a creative collective that was founded in December of 2014. After years of working with a number of highly skilled and talented artisans and designers, our initiative was to bring together this network and marry these vast skill sets into one full service design studio. As a result, the designers of UA possess a strong skill set that envelopes many areas of design. We create compelling presentations and engaging environments for both brands and personal clients. We focus on client experience, and partner with clients from concept to execution to translate their dreams into concrete ideas and then oversee the process from production to installation, allowing these concepts to be fully realized. Our services include but are not limited to interior design, creative services and visual presentation design, event design, styling services and graphic design and brand identity design. Our style is refined and our end goal is to always create presentations or environments that are beautiful, whether they are luxurious, casual or minimal.

Houzz Contributor. I am a licensed psychologist (Ph.D.) with a specialty in design psychology. After several years of practicing psychology, I felt the need to shift into a more creative career. So I started a design and psychology blog, worked as a freelance writer, and dedicated my time to learning all about interiors, styling, and photography. My blog has since evolved to an interior consulting company (trulery.com) that uses psychology to help clients create meaningful spaces. I am also a contributing home tour photographer and writer for Houzz. I'm always on the look out for personality-filled homes to feature in the New York/New Jersey area. If you have a home you would like to feature, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Today, Rizzoli New York is an integral part of its parent company, the Italian communications giant RCS Media Group. RCS arose from the merger of the venerable Rizzoli publishing house, founded in 1929, with the eminent Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, founded in 1876. Rizzoli New York began its publishing operation in 1974 and has since become a leader in the fields of art, architecture, interior design, photography, haute couture, and gastronomy. In 1990 the Universe imprint was added, marking Rizzoli’s entree into the pop-culture worlds of humor, fashion, beauty, sports, performing arts, and gay and alternative lifestyles. It also contributed a highly successful calendar program and published economical versions of Rizzoli books. Continuing the strategy to grow in international publishing, RCS Libri (the book division of RCS Media Group), Skira, Flammarion, PIE Books, and Marsilio are distributed in America by Rizzoli International Publications. With the creation of our newest imprint, SkiraRizzoli Publishing, two of our internationally recognized publishers have come together to form an imprint focusing on museum publications. Through superior-quality publications, SkiraRizzoli aims to bring museum exhibition content to a larger audience.

Celebrating our thirtieth year, Princeton Architectural Press is a world leader in architecture and design publishing, both in market share and in editorial and design excellence. With over 1,000 titles published, we have consistently sought the best in our field, and are privileged to be able to attract and publish it. We've made our reputation in part by identifying new trends and publishing first books on emerging talents, as well as definitive works on established names, and by creating books of unsurpassed design quality and production values. We've also successfully broadened the scope of what design publishing constitutes, by publishing everything from theory anthologies to documentation of remote Canadian fishing villages. Crossing boundaries is our strongest suit: we excel at publishing books that defy easy categorization. And in an industry where the average life span of a book is measured in months, if not weeks, we are a committed backlist publisher; indeed, the first book we published, in 1981, Letarouilly's Edifices de Rome Moderne, is still in print. Both the Press and our books have won numerous awards, for editorial excellence and for book design. They've been described in professional and popular media as "visually inviting," "elegant and charming," "useful as well as beautiful," "lovingly produced," "authoritative," "thorough and comprehensive," and so on: we try to make books that are smart and beautiful. Utne Reader says it most flatteringly: "By paying attention this closely in these humble and often ignored corners of the visible world, Princeton Architectural Press books have the somewhat paradoxical effect of expanding our sense of possibility, suggesting that there is wonder and beauty just about anywhere in the cultural, as well as the natural, world. Knowing that it's out there, we need never be bored." Since 1996 we've been distributed in North and South America by Chronicle Books, the successful trade book publisher based in San Francisco, which has dramatically increased our visibility in the non-specialist book trade and specialty retail stores. In short: we publish the best books on a subject we believe we know best.
