Our company exists to make your property come to life with light. We transform distinctive homes and businesses into breathtaking nighttime oases. Veteran Owned & Operated. #lightscape #takebackthenight Matt, owner of Lightscape™ Outdoor Lighting, is a retired veteran of the Ohio Army, Ohio and West Virginia Air National Guard. Serving as an Enlisted soldier, Warrant and Commissioned officer, he flew UH-1 Huey, UH-60 Blackhawk and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft spanning a 23 year career. Matt served two tours in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004 and again in 2005 as a C-130H Hercules pilot. Before entering the military during his junior year of high school, Matt was a talented artist and fell in love with working outdoors combining his artistic talents with the landscape industry. While attending The Ohio State University majoring in Landscape Architecture, Matt was accepted to pilot training and upon completion found himself working full time in the insurance industry alongside his service obligations in the National Guard and would later obtain a B.S. in Marketing from Franklin University. After honorably serving 23 years and retiring from the National Guard; spending 19 years in the insurance industry with Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio, Matt made a major transition from his corporate career and returned to his love of art and creativity in the landscape space and founded Lightscape™ Outdoor Lighting. Matt’s love of the outdoors, his creative talents and passion for his work are evident in his outdoor lighting designs. Matt is known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic which he very much attributes his military career and passion for the outdoors. His artistic eye, attention to detail and creativity will guide you through the entire process of creating a one of a kind lighting design for your home that will bring light, clarity and forever change the way you see and enjoy your home each and every day. Matt is a desired speaker, author of the book “Seize The Night” and award winning Landscape Lighting designer; most recently winning the Clarolux 2018 Lighting Design Excellence Award for his creative design work.
