Greg Schmidt Painting

Painted my entire house exterior. Did a fantastic job! Ended up hiring again to do the entire interior. Perfect painting job! They take their time and do it right! Would definitely use them again!

Greg was referred to me by a high-end general, contractor, who we had over to estimate a large outdoor project planned for this summer. The GC said he hired Greg to paint his personal residence. So the high-end, GC who hires no one but the best, had Greg paint his personal residence. That was pretty much enough for me, and the house really needed to be painted ASAP. The original builder must have run out of money at the end, as he used a thin paint that would wipe off with your finger. Some of the trim and shutters were starting to show signs of rot, and the house just looked tired. Couple the GC's recommendation with the fact that Greg and his workers have liability insurance, and it was a no-brainer. So I hired him, and he exceeded my expectations, which are high but not unreasonable. Greg is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when hiring any contractor, but especially a painter, where detail is paramount. Greg hand painted our entire exterior with a brush. He didn't spray watered down paint, which is what many do. And he actually did two coats, just as he said he would. He didn't back-roll and call it two coats. He painted one coat, let it dry, and then painted another. What a novel concept! Greg is meticulous in his preparation, repairs, and painting. He does not compromise. He only uses the best products, which is the only way to go when you're painting anything. Above all else, Greg is a good family man, and person in general. It just so happens that he's also an awesome painter with an enviable work ethic that is sadly a rarity these days, where cutting corners is common. Without reservation I recommend Greg for any restoration and/or painting work you may have. And, no, I'm not related to Greg. I never met Greg before hiring him to paint our exterior. I just think he's great at what he does and deserves a shot at any project you may have.

Greg and his crew are trustworthy, professional and reasonably priced. We've had him paint both interiors and exteriors and they came out perfectly. I am so happy to have found him!!
