Hernandez Drywall and Painting

WARNING: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. If you do not pay attention or watch over them while they work, they will cut corners every chance they get, and I do not believe they are drywall experts. Less that 5 days after completing a job on my ceilings (that cost over $5k) I begin noticing the edges of the tape lifting. I immediately message him about the issue, and he calls me back and says there is nothing he can do about it because houses move in Texas and it’s normal. If this had occurred a year later and NOT 3-4 days later, I might have agreed but he just kept making excuse after excuse. He even said that the crack would CLOSE BACK UP ON ITS OWN IN A FEW MONTHS and suggested I wait! But after I kept pushing, he finally agreed to come out and look at it but warned that if it were due to “movement” he would charge me to fix. UPDATE: After he came out, he offered to fill the lifted tape in with silicone caulk and paint over it! I declined… Our contract was for popcorn removal and included re-taping and texturing the ceiling. So if the tape lifts 3 days after you leave, you would expect them to own up to the error and fix it, right?!? The entire process was a headache, but I wasn’t going to write a negative review because if the end product was great, why be negative?
