“Eric Linkins is unsurpassed as both an innovator and creator of beauty with design and paint. He has an artist's eye and a craftsman's skill. Patrick Shields Wallpaper & Mural Installations

“Patrick is a master paperhanger. I have followed his blog on paperhanging and wallpaper, co-presented a seminar on wallcoverings with him, referred him to delighted clients, and used him recently to paper a mural on one wall in my new office space. The photos are from a client project. Patrick is often hired by historic homes and museums to do complex paperhanging. I have every confidence in the quality of his work, and will not hesitate to recommend him again to clients in the future.”
Murals By Amy

“Amy is capable of doing anything with a paint brush. I found her years ago online as I was looking for someone who could create residential murals or do textured paints for a new home purchase. I have hired her now for at least 4 separate projects, each one more complex than the last, and she has always come through. I constantly am asked for her info but people that visit my home. I will 100% be using her many times again going forward.”

“Work was done in the amount of time requested (rather short). Work was mostly neat--no drips found on floor, but detail work around fixtures, etc., could have been better. Overall, good job.”

“I would like to thank you for your quick response, reasonable price and professional work on my home in Nokesville on Dec 3. My ceiling drywall work looks great, and after a coat of paint, you will not be able to tell I put my foot through it. Hope to have you back in the spring Mike Rodgers”

“The speedheater and scrapers I purchased get a lot of use. The first time we tried it out we couldn't believe it was true- It really got the paint off! I don't think it's the most efficient way to remove paint from wide flat surfaces or pieces that I can remove and have dipped in a lye tank, but It is great for removing paint from surfaces with profiles or small details (think: window sashes). The scrapers they sell are great, but also necessary. On really old paint, we brush on some linseed oil and leave it for a while before using the heater on it. This helps a lot. There are a few downfalls: (1) The bulbs break easily- in fairness, my speedheater gets a lot of use, and does get dropped occasionally, and so the bulbs do break. (2) It's not "super magic", it does still take a lot of patience to remove the paint, and having to hold the machine in a vertical position (not working on sawhorses) can become tiresome. (3) I know the company says it's safe, but the smell that comes with speedheating the paint doesn't seem like something I want to be breathing, so I wear a respirator. But don't let these little things distract you. Removing paint is never easy or fun, so while this tool is not flawless, it is a necessary tool in the arsenal of anyone trying to remove old paint.”
